This summer, patriots and people of God from across America will be coming together in New Hampshire for a week of patriotic fun and Christian fellowship at the one and only Camp Constitution
Camp Constitution is a Christian-centered charitable trust that, among others things, runs a week-long family camp, a speakers’ bureau, a publishing arm, and a radio show.
The organization also has the honor of hosting the Sam Blumenfeld Archives. https://campconstitution.net/sam-blumenfeld-archive/
Its motto is “Honoring the Past…Teaching the Present….Preparing the Future,” and that’s what Camp Constitution has been doing since its founding in 2009.
This year, it will host its 12th annual family camp, which will run from Sunday July 19 to Friday July 24 at the Singing Hills Christian Camp and Conference Center in beautiful Plainfield, New Hampshire. The family camp is for entire families and unaccompanied children.
Over the years, the camp has been blessed with a talented line-up of instructors who volunteer their time, and this year is no exception. The line-up includes Professor Willie Soon, one of the world’s top climate realists; Rev. Steven Craft of Christian Citizenship Ministries; Lord Christopher Monckton, former advisor to Margaret Thatcher; Alex Newman, journalist and author; CJ Pearson, teenage conservative activist; Jonathan Alexandre of Liberty Counsel; Debbie Bacigalupi, a rancher and leading expert on Agenda 21; Dr. Felicia Nace, educator and author; and Catherine White of the Constitution Decoded.
Classes this year will include “America’s Christian Heritage,” “Know Your Constitution,” “The Bill of Rights,” “The Right to Keep and Bear Arms,” “The Moral American,” “How to Defend Your World View,” “The Deep State,” “What is Money,” “The Climate Change Fraud,” and “How to be a Liberty Activist.” Learn more about last year’s classes here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2_oDWUahjI&list=PL7jnzBzBiNYCK26mXvIRNnXvKQ1GlsDpF

Camp Constitution’s Junior Patriot Camp for campers 4-12 teaches the history of the Constitution in a fun yet informative way. The information is aimed to encourage younger patriots to cherish this great document for our great country and continue this learning process.
While the subject is primarily the Constitution and events that led up to the final document, guest instructors are invited to use different media such as puppets, skits, costumes, cartoons, etc., to educate our Junior Campers on the Constitution. A take-home craft is usually planned to help reinforce the lesson/session.
A typical day at camp begins with a 6:30 AM optional “polar bear” swim and/or run. Wake up is at 7:00 AM, and morning devotions at 7:45 at the flagpole where Old Glory is raised and the Pledge of Allegiance and the Preamble to the U. S. Constitution is recited. After a hearty breakfast, there are three morning classes each one lasting 45 minutes with time in-between to shoot a basketball, throw a football, play a short game of gaga ball or ask the instructor questions.
There is a room inspection in the morning where the head counselor looks for cleanliness, as well as a Christian and Patriotic theme. The head counselor grades each room and cabin, and the winners get free pizza after the last full day’s campfire. Inspection results are posted in the camp’s daily newspaper–its antidote to fake news. After lunch, time is set aside for organized recreation where campers engage in volleyball, wiffleball, basketball, ping-pong and chess tournaments. Other activities include swimming, hiking, martial arts, or just relaxing in the beautiful environs of the camp.
Wednesday afternoon is set aside for a field trip to the Augustus Saint-Gaudens Homestead in nearby Cornish, New Hampshire.
After dinner, there are two more classes and a flag-lowering ceremony.
The last scheduled event of the day is campfire where campers and staff sing hymns and patriotic songs, recite poetry, perform skits, and tell corny jokes. After campfire, the camp newspaper is distributed, and campers have a chance to unwind before they head back to the cabins at 10:30 and lights out at 11:00 PM.
Thursday morning, the last full day of camp, some of the campers and staff visit the nearest town where they distribute pocket copies of the U.S. Constitution to the locals.
The closing ceremony will include a motivational speech by Lord Christopher Monckton and Rev. Steve Craft, and announcing the Super Camper winners given to a boy and a girl chosen by the staff. The award is a full tuition for next year’s camp.
A week’s tuition for ages 13 to adult is $300. For ages 4-12 the cost is $200. Three and under free. Those that register and pay in full before June 1, get a $50 discount. Tuition assistance to campers and families on a case by case basis. Register here: https://campconstitution.registration.payscape.com/programs/1981/camp-constitution-2020
The camp is well supervised with experienced staff mainly consisting of parents and including a camp doctor and nurse. Families and staff come from all over the United States and even one from Europe to attend this special camp program.
Camp Constitution offers a potential life-changing and life-affirming experience for young and old. It’s a great place to fellowship, teach, learn, relax and make life-time friendships.

George Washington’s Farewell Address used to be taught in the schools across the United States. Today, few if any do. Indeed, when Washington is mentioned, he is usually maligned. But we at Camp Constitution, true to our mission statement–Honoring the Past…Teaching the Present….Preparing the Future”-honor the memory of this great man. Here is a link to a downloadable PDF version of his “Farewell Address” which we reprinted:

Camp Constitution offers this incredible free on-line resource that is for teachers, homeschoolers, historians, researchers, students and those who like to learn. It consists of the writings and recordings of my late friend Sam Blumenfeld. Sam was a pioneer in the homeschool and private school movement and one of the first persons to realize that the reading problem in the United States was done on purpose. He coined the term “menticide” to describe the deliberate dumbing-down of America.
This resource contains most of Sam’s books in PDF format including “The NEA: Trojan Horse in American Education” and a manuscript of his unpublished book “How the Left Created the Neo Nazi Movement.” It also contains Sam’s “Alpha-Phonics” workbook in PDF and an on-line version with all 128 lessons in either audio or video. In his earlier years, Sam was founded and co-founded organizations like “American Friends of Katanga,” “American Friends of Algeria, and the “Jewish Society of Americanists.” You will find the newsletters, and other documents in the archives unavailable anywhere else.
Please use and share this resource far and wide. Send links to your friends, neighbors, educators. Make a list of local or regional literacy organizations and let them know of the archive. Last year, we received over two million views. Let’s Make America Literate Again. https://campconstitution.net/sam-blumenfeld-archive/

We recently interviewed CJ Pearson, a high school senior and an outspoken conservative activist on Camp Constitution Radio. CJ Pearson is a lifelong Georgian, best known for his online political commentary. Raised by Democrats, CJ has taken a path in life few would expect, emerging as a leading voice among right-leaning youth across America. Through his impassioned commentary, Pearson has built an incredible following of individuals – both young and old – concerned about the future and direction of America. CJ’s passion for politics extends offline and he has served in a variety of roles within Republican campaigns at all levels of government. CJ’s website: https://cjpearson.org/

In the wake of the lawsuit that Camp Constitution filed against the City of Boston, city officials came up with the rules for flag-raising ceremonies. Rule 1 excludes “religious movements” but Rule 3, says that participants can’t discriminate based on sex, race, and religion. So, the City can discriminate against religion but participants can’t. Rule 1 reads that flags can’t be offensive. Offensive to whom? I think that the answer is obvious: Offensive to the Marxists who run the city. A communist flag is not offensive to Mayor Marty Walsh and the City Council but it is offensive to people who love liberty.
Here is the new policy from the City’s website:
City of Boston Property Management Department Flag Raising Rules
1. At no time will the City of Boston display flags deemed to be inappropriate or offensive in nature or those supporting discrimination, prejudice, or religious movements.
2. Flag raisings must occur on a normal business work day, generally between the hours of 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. Requests to raise a flag on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday will normally be referred to the business day before or after the weekend or holiday. If an applicant requests a flag raising outside of the above times, he or she must seek a waiver from the Commissioner of Property Management Department and provide an adequate justification. The decision of the Commissioner will be final.
3. All flag raising events must be open to members of the public. Guests must adhere to the City of Boston policy not to discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, etc.
4. The guest must deliver the appropriate size flag to the City of Boston PMD and retrieve the guest flag after the raising. The flag must be clean and serviceable flag with dimensions no less than 3 feet wide by 5 feet long and no greater than 10 feet wide by 15 feet long. PMD and the City of Boston will not be responsible for guest flags not retrieved.
5. All events must be consistent with the City of Boston’s sustainability goals, including its efforts toward making Boston a zero waste city. (Here an example of the city implementing Agenda 21)
6. If ordered, flags may be lowered to comply with the U.S. Flag Code. If the Governor or other appropriate authority orders that the U.S. Flag be flown at half-staff, no other flag may be flown higher than the U.S. Flag.
7. Guest flags will normally only be flown 24 hours or less.
This is also on the city’s website:
” We want to create an environment in the City where everyone feels included, and is treated with respect. We also want to raise awareness in Greater Boston and beyond about the many countries and cultures around the world. Our goal is to foster diversity and build and strengthen connections among Boston’s many communities.”
This is a flat-out lie. Marty Walsh and the City Council do not treat conservative Christians with respect, and the city sure isn’t interested in building and strengthening connections among Boston’s “many communities” since they treat conservative Christians as second class citizens.
Here is a list of dates for flag-raising events from the city’s website:
February 15, Lithuania, March 6 Ghana, March 8 Tibet, March 14, Ireland May 3, Poland May 17, Haiti
May 31 Boston Pride Week June 4. (This is a religious flag since churches all over the city fly it), Caribbean American June 9, Portugal June 12, Philippines June 15, Juneteenth (to celebrate the passing of the 13th Amendment), July 5, Cape Verde July 9, Argentina July 10, Venezuela July 19, Colombia July 22, Puerto Rico (Not a foreign nation) July 26, Peru August 6, Bolivia August 9, Ecuador August 16, Dominican Republic September 6, Brazil September 8, Ethiopia September 9, Chile September 12, El Salvador September 14 Central America September 16, Mexico October 5, Taiwan October 13, Cuba and October 29, Turkey.
The city doesn’t list Communist China since it gets folks a little riled up but the Chinese communists usually raise it in late September or early October to commemorate the communist take-over of China. https://www.boston.gov/departments/property-management/boston-city-hall-plaza-flag-raising-dates
Boston is in violation of state law almost every time a foreign flag is raised on the plaza. Here is the state law on the subject:
Section 8: Foreign flag; display; penalty; exception
Section 8. Whoever displays the flag or emblem of a foreign country upon the outside of a state, county, city or town building or public schoolhouse shall be punished by a fine of not more than twenty dollars; but, except as to public schoolhouses, this section shall not apply when a citizen of such foreign country becomes the guest of the United States or of the commonwealth, or when a diplomatic representative of a foreign country is a guest at said public building and, if the governor by proclamation authorizes the flag of the country of which such guest is a citizen to be displayed upon public buildings. https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartIV/TitleI/Chapter264/Section8
The city denies us a permit to fly the Christian flag which is deemed offensive and “unapproved government speech” while openly breaking state law, and allowing foreign flags including those of Communist China and Cuba to fly. Camp Constitution has appealed the Federal Court’s recent decision and its attorneys at Liberty Council ( https://www.lc.org will take it all of the way to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary. We will continue to expose the city’s “systemic” bigotry and illegal activity.

Since out first camp in 2009, Camp Constitution has been blessed with an incredible line-up of instructors who volunteer their time at Camp Constitution’s annual family camp, and this year’s line-up is no exception. Our line-up includes returning instructors Professor Willie Soon, Lord Christopher Monckton, Debbie Bacigalupi, Catherine White, John McManus, Rev. Steve, and Mrs. Edith Craft, and this year, we are pleased to introduce two new instructors: CJ Pearson and Attorney Jonathan Alexandre.

CJ Pearson:
Several years ago, I viewed a YouTube video of this remarkable young man criticizing Obamacare. Last month, Professor Soon send me a link to an article where CJ challenged Greta Thunberg to a debate on the subject of climate change. I decided to invite him to Camp Constitution. I visited his website, filled out the contact form inviting his to speak at our camp, and he promptly replied that he will be happy to attend.
Over the course of the past few years, CJ Pearson has emerged as a leading voice among right-leaning youth and has been described as the “Left’s Youngest Nightmare” — a title he wears with pride. Through his viral video commentary, Pearson has amassed more than half a million followers on social media and has garnered more than 100 million views on his compelling and impassioned video content. Pearson has also made frequent appearances in the national media and has been featured on Fox News, The Blaze, Newsmax TV, and One America News Network. CJ’s website: https://cjpearson.org/
Attorney Jonathan Alexandre of Liberty Counsel

I had the honor to meet Jonathan at the Mid-Atlantic Reformation’s annual conference in Lancaster, PA where he and his wife Renee manned an information table for Liberty Counsel. He was also a keynote speaker at the conference. I soon discovered that Jonathan lived two doors down from my late mother-in-laws home where I currently live.
Jonathan Alexandre, J.D., is Director of Public Policy for Liberty Counsel and Liberty Counsel Action in Washington, DC. In this position, Alexandre consults with and advises law and policy makers, including nonprofit and advocacy groups at the federal, state, and local levels across the nation, regarding issues on religious freedom, the sanctity of life, marriage and the family, foreign and domestic policies, Israel, and the Middle East. In addition, Alexandre oversees internships in the Washington, DC office. The internship opportunities are available to students from around the country who are interested in law, policy, and Israel.
He also retains an active role assisting the Massachusetts Family Institute (MFI) in public policy.
Previously, Alexandre was Assistant General Counsel and Public Policy Coordinator for the MFI in Boston. In this role, he provided counsel for MFI’s mission in the legal and legislative arenas to advance the sanctity of life, the dignity of traditional marriage, and religious liberty in the Commonwealth. Alexandre developed the Massachusetts Attorney Resource Council, a network of pro-family Massachusetts attorneys. Before his tenure at MFI, Alexandre worked for the Mayor of Worcester, Massachusetts, The Jerusalem Center of Public Affairs in Jerusalem, Israel as a Scholar in Residence, and the United States Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School. Alexandre earned his undergraduate degree from Ana Maria College in Political Science and Government and received his Juris Doctor from Liberty University School of Law. He is also a gifted singer whom we hope to hear at our evening campfires. Liberty Counsel is defending us pro bono with our Christian flag lawsuit against the City of Boston: https://lc.org/
And our featured instructor, Alex Newman

I first met Alex in May of 2015, a few days before the passing of Sam Blumenfeld. Sam and Alex co-authored Crimes of the Educators but never met in person. When Sam was on his deathbed, I called Alex and suggested that he pay Sam a visit before he passes. A Camp Constitution benefactor paid for Alex’s travel to Boston where he met Sam. The two were like old friends. Alex attended our 2015 but could only stay for a day. This year, he and his beautiful family will be with us for the week.
Alex is an American journalist and consultant who writes about economics, finance, banking, business, and politics for diverse publications in the United States and abroad. He studied journalism, economics and political science at the University of Florida. In addition to his own consulting firm, Alex has worked in market research, marketing, strategy, research, information gathering and consulting for international companies, non-profit organizations and various political campaigns. He is also the co-author of a book exposing some of the problems with today’s public education system.
We are now taking on-line applications for our 2020 camp which runs from Sunday July 19th to Friday July 24th at the Singing Hills Christian Camp and Conference Center in Plainfield, NH https://campconstitution.registration.payscape.com/
A full tuition for those 13 and older is $300., and 12 and under $200. Early bird discounts of $50. per person is available to those who register before June 1. In the discount code use “early bird.”

In this 1998 presentation, Sam Blumenfeld exposes Outcome Based Education, the precursor of Common Core, and a history of the people who are responsible for the deliberant dumbing down of America.
This presentation is available in an MP3 format at the Sam Blumenfeld Archives: https://campconstitution.net/sam-blumenfeld-archive/

Camp Constitution was in Aroostook County Maine last week where we had the opportunity to meet, and hear Coach Dave Daubenmire of Pass the Salt Ministries. From Coach Dave’s website:
Dave Daubenmire, a veteran 35 year high school football coach, was spurred to action when attacked and eventually sued by the ACLU in the late 1990’s for mixing prayer with his coaching. After a two year battle for his 1st amendment rights and a determination to not back down, the ACLU relented and offered coach an out of court settlement. As a result of the experience, Coach heard the call to move out of coaching a high school team, to the job of coaching God’s team. PASS THE SALT was formed to encourage the Body of Christ to step into the cultural war. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood…” PASS THE SALT is convinced that God has given the Body a window of opportunity to take our culture back.
PASS THE SALT is committed to bringing together the body of Christ across denominational, racial, and economical borders to demonstrate to America the power of Biblical unity. Our vision is to unite, organize, and mobilize the Army of God to be SALT and Light as stated in MATTHEW 5:12.
Challenging the “church of the Status Quo”, Pass The Salt is calling Christians to engage the culture. By taking the fight to the enemy Coach Daubenmire has become a recognizable voice with the media as he is an unashamed, articulate, apologist for the Christian worldview. Coach’s willingness to stand with Judge Roy Moore in Alabama, Terri Schiavo in Florida, and the 10 commandments in Washington DC, has enabled him to partner with some of the nationally known voices in America.
Coach is using his knowledge of education and educational issues to equip Christians to defend the Judeo-Christian worldview. A popular, high-energy speaker, Coach Daubenmire’s motivational lectures laced with scripture are challenging Americans all across the country.
In 2010, Coach made an unsuccessful bid for election to Congress in the 18th District in Ohio.

Sam Blumenfeld rightfully believed that children should learn to write cursive before printing. He said that when a child learns printing first, he or she has trouble with cursive. He created a lesson on cursive and we make it available on his archives: https://campconstitution.net/blumenfelds-writing-tutor/.
Cursive is no longer taught in most government schools which should be reason enough to teach it to your children.
