The Chain Message Calling for the 28th Amendment and Article V Convention is full of misinformation
Over the past ten years or so, well-intentioned people have been sending me a chain message on Facebook promoting a proposed 28th Amendment, and calling for an Article V Convention to get it passed. It is also sent in an E-mail, and on various websites. It usually suggests that readers of the message send it to 15 or 20 of their contacts. I am unable to track the message’s origin, but it has been around for a number of years. I urge folks not to fall for it.
The message claims that governors of 35 states have suites against the U.S. government for imposing unlawful burdens upon their states. The truth is that governors do not file suits-state attorney generals do for numerous reasons. The message also claims that members of Congress can retire after one term and that their children and staffers don’t have to pay their student loans. These are outright false.
While the proposed amendment sounds enticing, promoting an Article V Convention which, if called, may likely rewrite or restructure our Constitution. My suggestion to folks who get the message is to reply with some info on the dangers of an Article V Convention. “Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the Citizens of the United States …”
This is an idea that should be passed around, regardless of political party.
Congressional Reform Act of 2017
1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they’re out of office. And, no more perks go with them.
2. Congress (past, present, & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress must purchase their own retirement plan, just as ALL Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people (i.e. NO MORE INSIDER TRADING!!!).
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. Congress made all these contracts by and for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor and privledge NOT a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators should serve their term(s), then go home and go back to work … not get all kinds of freebies.
Just hold your finger down then hit forward and send it to everyone you know. Let’s help get the country straightened out

OUR PRESENT SITUATION !
Children of Congress members do not have to pay back their college student loans.
Staffers of Congress family members are also exempt from having to pay back student loans.
Members of Congress can retire at full pay after only one term.
Members of Congress have exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed, under which ordinary citizens must live.
For example, they are exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment.
And as the latest example, they have exempted themselves from Healthcare Reform, in all of its aspects.
We must not tolerate an elite class of such people, elected as public servants and then putting themselves above the law.
I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent, or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon their states. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.
If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days most people in The United States of America will have the mess”
Tell the folks sending you the above that they need to stop forwarding this erroneous message and say no to an Article V Convention.

The Weekly Sam: A Testimonial for “Alpha-Phonics” from South Africa
The Sam Blumenfeld Archives is being used by thousands of people in the United States and the world. Last Saturday March 7, Camp Constitution hosted an all day seminar at the Grace Bible Church in Wappingers Falls, New York. One of the presenters, Shiona Van Wyk, Skyped in from Johannesburg, South Africa to give her testimonial. Last year, Shiona found the archives on-line and successfully used Sam’s Alpha-Phonics to her special needs class. The students or learners did not make any progress in two years, but after two weeks of using Alpha-Phonics, 15 of the 17 students became good readers. 250th Anniversary of the Boston Massacre Wreath Laying Ceremony
Camp Constitution was on hand at the wreath laying ceremony that took place in Boston’s Granary Burial Ground, the final resting place for the victims of the Boston Massacre which include Crispus Attucks, a sailor and runaway slave; James Caldwell, a 17-year-old sailor; Patrick Carr, a leather worker; Samuel Gray, a rope-maker; and Samuel Maverick, also 17 years-old, The ceremony was hosted by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) with President General Denice Doris VanBuren on hand. The Henry Knox Color Guard of the Massachusetts Sons of the Revolution also participated.
The Weekly Sam: Exposing the NEA and Its hypocrisy
Sam Blumenfeld dedicated his life to warning the people of the United States that there was a plan to deliberately dumb-down our nation. And one of the vehicles being used to do that is the National Education Association. He published The NEA: Trojan Horse in American Education and went on a nation speaking tour to promote the book. Here he appears on a Christian radio station and is interviewed about his book. 46:25 into the video, Sam mentions how the NEA extolls the use of phonics in Cuba but will not allow it in the United States. Bernie Sanders also praised Cuba’s literacy program but fails to mention that the communists use phonics.

The Vose Libary in Union, Maine Violating Free Speech By Cancelling a Showing of “Vaxxed”
Maine Referendum Question 1 on the ballot next week which, if passed, will restore the religious and philosophical exemptions for those who oppose vaccinations. Maine’s Democrat controlled legislature passed Legislative Document 798 (LD798) and Janet Mills, Maine’s far-left, anti-Christian governor signed it into law. This is the same governor who refused to sign a pro-homeschool resolution that Maine’s governors have been doing for over 25 years. A friend of mine asked me to create events for two showing of the documentary Vaxxed on our Camp Constitution and Maine Friends of the Constitution Facebook groups. One of the showing was held at the Appleton Library and the other was scheduled to be shown at the Vose Library in nearby Union until a library official contacted my friend, and was told the showing was cancelled. The cover of the Vaxxed DVD reads: “The Film They Don’t Want You to See.” They, of course, include the folks who run the Vose Library
The action of the Vose Library officials are not only a violation of the Maine State Constitution Article 1: Section 4 and the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution but the Library Bill of Rights:
“The American Library Association affirms that all libraries are forums for information and ideas, and that the following basic policies should guide their services.
I. Books and other library resources should be provided for the interest, information, and enlightenment of all people of the community the library serves. Materials should not be excluded because of the origin, age, background, or views of those contributing to their creation.
II. Libraries should provide materials and information presenting all points of view on current and historical issues. Materials should not be proscribed or removed because of partisan or doctrinal disapproval.
III. Libraries should challenge censorship in the fulfillment of their responsibility to provide information and enlightenment.
IV. Libraries should cooperate with all persons and groups concerned with resisting abridgment of free expression and free access to ideas.
V. A person’s right to use a library should not be denied or abridged because of origin, age, background, or views.
VI. Libraries which make exhibit spaces and meeting rooms available to the public they serve should make such facilities available on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting their use.
VII. All people, regardless of origin, age, background, or views, possess a right to privacy and confidentiality in their library use. Libraries should advocate for, educate about, and protect people’s privacy, safeguarding all library use data, including personally identifiable information.

Whether you support Governor Mills, and Big Pharma’s position on the issue or support the folks who are working to repeal LD798, people should have access to all information and support the right to see a documentary on the subject. A Week of Patriotic fun and Christian fellowship at the one and only Camp Constitution!
This summer, patriots and people of God from across America will be coming together in New Hampshire for a week of patriotic fun and Christian fellowship at the one and only Camp Constitution
Camp Constitution is a Christian-centered charitable trust that, among others things, runs a week-long family camp, a speakers’ bureau, a publishing arm, and a radio show.

Its motto is “Honoring the Past…Teaching the Present….Preparing the Future,” and that’s what Camp Constitution has been doing since its founding in 2009.
This year, it will host its 12th annual family camp, which will run from Sunday July 19 to Friday July 24 at the Singing Hills Christian Camp and Conference Center in beautiful Plainfield, New Hampshire. The family camp is for entire families and unaccompanied children.
Over the years, the camp has been blessed with a talented line-up of instructors who volunteer their time, and this year is no exception. The line-up includes Professor Willie Soon, one of the world’s top climate realists; Rev. Steven Craft of Christian Citizenship Ministries; Lord Christopher Monckton, former advisor to Margaret Thatcher; Alex Newman, journalist and author; CJ Pearson, teenage conservative activist; Jonathan Alexandre of Liberty Counsel; Debbie Bacigalupi, a rancher and leading expert on Agenda 21; Dr. Felicia Nace, educator and author; and Catherine White of the Constitution Decoded.

Camp Constitution’s Junior Patriot Camp for campers 4-12 teaches the history of the Constitution in a fun yet informative way. The information is aimed to encourage younger patriots to cherish this great document for our great country and continue this learning process.
While the subject is primarily the Constitution and events that led up to the final document, guest instructors are invited to use different media such as puppets, skits, costumes, cartoons, etc., to educate our Junior Campers on the Constitution. A take-home craft is usually planned to help reinforce the lesson/session.
A typical day at camp begins with a 6:30 AM optional “polar bear” swim and/or run. Wake up is at 7:00 AM, and morning devotions at 7:45 at the flagpole where Old Glory is raised and the Pledge of Allegiance and the Preamble to the U. S. Constitution is recited. After a hearty breakfast, there are three morning classes each one lasting 45 minutes with time in-between to shoot a basketball, throw a football, play a short game of gaga ball or ask the instructor questions.
There is a room inspection in the morning where the head counselor looks for cleanliness, as well as a Christian and Patriotic theme. The head counselor grades each room and cabin, and the winners get free pizza after the last full day’s campfire. Inspection results are posted in the camp’s daily newspaper–its antidote to fake news. After lunch, time is set aside for organized recreation where campers engage in volleyball, wiffleball, basketball, ping-pong and chess tournaments. Other activities include swimming, hiking, martial arts, or just relaxing in the beautiful environs of the camp.
Wednesday afternoon is set aside for a field trip to the Augustus Saint-Gaudens Homestead in nearby Cornish, New Hampshire.
After dinner, there are two more classes and a flag-lowering ceremony.
The last scheduled event of the day is campfire where campers and staff sing hymns and patriotic songs, recite poetry, perform skits, and tell corny jokes. After campfire, the camp newspaper is distributed, and campers have a chance to unwind before they head back to the cabins at 10:30 and lights out at 11:00 PM.
Thursday morning, the last full day of camp, some of the campers and staff visit the nearest town where they distribute pocket copies of the U.S. Constitution to the locals.
The closing ceremony will include a motivational speech by Lord Christopher Monckton and Rev. Steve Craft, and announcing the Super Camper winners given to a boy and a girl chosen by the staff. The award is a full tuition for next year’s camp.

The camp is well supervised with experienced staff mainly consisting of parents and including a camp doctor and nurse. Families and staff come from all over the United States and even one from Europe to attend this special camp program.
Camp Constitution offers a potential life-changing and life-affirming experience for young and old. It’s a great place to fellowship, teach, learn, relax and make life-time friendships.
