THE ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARING on Wisconsin’s AJR 135 (Term Limits Convention)

God really moved and we received the answers from the Lord and spread truth to the legislature!! But we also spread truth to all the people who were waiting for hours in that big room (outside of view of camera) for their turn to testify, and those watching live on wiseye, and those YOU will send this post/video to!  I honestly can’t explain, with 17 bills to discuss, why they didn’t impose time limits on our speeches or answers, except a direct answer to prayer, thank the Lord!

Remarkably, the next day Sen Roger Roth, who watched the video on livestream, called us on his cell to tell us that one of the questions our daughter answered the Assembly Committee really impacted him. We talked for over 20 min during the Senate recess on the day he would speak against SJR 102 before the Senate.
.
But first, let’s see what happened on Monday the 21st… my daughter says it would be better (and more entertaining) if I could give a verbal commentary on these hearings, but the best I can do is a written inside scoop on the videos below, the stuff “off camera”…
.
We the People, the citizens of WI, were given less than 24 hr notice and had to make rushed sacrifices of gas, time, and preparation to get there at all. Since we were only told the evening before an early 9:30 am Senate public hearing, we couldn’t testify at Convention-die-hard-Stroebel’s Senate mock public hearing consisting of only the Senate Committee members and the lobbyist, but a very small group of us were able to testify at the Assembly hearing (because the 24 hr notice was given on Friday evening for a Mon hearing).
.
Of those Wisconsinites who came to testify and also those who came to support us in prayer,
  •  One of them left their family early to testify and then head to a conference.
  •  One left several children with the spouse to drive 6 1/2 hrs round trip to come testify.
  •  One blew 12 hours of double-time pay to instead come to testify.
  •  Several dealt with and suffered health complications from traveling or testifying.
  •  Thank you for all your prayers for us!
And yet, remarkably, the paid lobbyist Ken Quinn was there at the Capitol in plenty of time to fly from Maine & get accommodation and be at BOTH the “rushed” Senate and Assembly hearings. Either it’s just a coincidence, or he had advanced warning the rest of us – actually from our State – were not privy to. He’s been hanging out lobbying, deceiving, and schmoozing on the legislators for their votes, and paid to do so. At the Assembly hearing he said he’s been here for a full week.

We also found out on Mon, from an inside source, that the powers that be polled the legislators of this new State Affairs Committee we were testifying to (possibly even before they chose which committee to send the bill to), locking in their vote to be sure this would pass an Assembly Committee this time.
.
While the Lobbyist Quinn says that he is there in support of AJR 135 and that 82% of Americans support “this” and 75% of Wisconsinites support “this”, I need to point out that this support is for TERM LIMITS, not the dangerous Convention process in AJR 135. If you stay tuned through the whole video, Holly discusses in her testimony how the convention movement is deceptive in its polling to convince voters (she has personal experience of this) or legislators of huge grassroots support. In the meantime, keep in mind that approval for term limits is NOT approval for Article V Convention process.

I liked testifier Theresa Henderson’s take on this and disagree with Salesman Lobbyist Quinn’s take (he says the following information shows a dysfunction in the system and a need for term limits convention):
  • Congress has had an 18% approval rating for the last decade, which is equivalent to a 1 star rating at a hotel.
  • If 75% of voters across party lines support term limits, and
  • If 96% of incumbents win office again – with an 18% approval rating,
Theresa Henderson remarked to me that information indicates massive election fraud and that
They don’t want the same people in, aren’t happy with them, but somehow they keep getting in.”

Again, the ballot box in a true, fair and free election with an educated electorate is the answer.
Something you can’t see on the video during our testimonies against convention, the Lobbyist Quinn was visibly agitated and dramatically shaking his head like we had no idea what we were talking about. Technically, he could not ask us any questions because he’d already had his turn and he was not on the Committee. You could see he was so frustrated. To the point that on two occasions he got up and went up to the Committee Legislature (while we were testifying) and pulled aside the bill’s author, Rep Knodl (rather convenient that one of the two authors was on the Committee, wasn’t it?), and gave the author paperwork and ammo to make points/ask questions of us that he (the lobbyist) couldn’t. It surely would have been obviously awkward (and entertaining) if Knodl had been sitting in the middle of the board, and not off to the left, wouldn’t it? I wonder if the lobbyist Quinn would still have gone up to him?

God used it, as you will see in the video.

One more observation you can’t see in the video is after we were done testifying, I saw Quinn in the hallway outside the hearing with one of the Reps who appeared to be turning during our testimonies and Q&A. Quinn seemed to be talking him BACK into support of his bill. My husband said he should have taken his Constitution and gone out with them and joined their conversation, hee hee.
One leading lady (on our side of this battle to protect our Constitution) watched the hearing live on wisconsineye and emailed me,
I loved that Elayna hit the ball out of the park in answering Knodl. And what did he respond–that she dodged the question and would make a good politician someday? I couldn’t figure out if he didn’t understand that she answered the question, or he didn’t want to admit it.”

To understand the time-frame of the day:

I had just testified in favor of 2 election integrity Bills 133 & 134 before we all testified against AJR 135. After testifying, we walked the halls of the Capitol and passed out information asking Senators to vote against Term Limits Convention S102 in the Senate the next day (Tue the 22nd). While we were doing that, one Senator’s office said they were contacted from others within the Capitol to get on wisconsineye right away and watch our testimonies live, another way God was moving.

When we were done with the literature drop, we checked back in with the State Affairs committee, wanting to be there for the actual vote for their accountability to We the People, but they were not done with the public hearing on the 17 election bills before we had to leave the locked Capitol. So we were not present for the vote (see video).
Knodl finally did get the last word – to the legislature before the vote – and his comments (see video) remind me of the verse,
The prudent man forseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.”  Prov 22:3

The problem is, his decision and punishment affect the rest of us, and our descendants.
Final note while that popcorn is popping for the video, those who watched the last video of our testimonies before the Constitution & Ethics committee will remember that was our THIRD TIME testifying to that particular committee and you will notice a difference in our family’s approach in testifying to a new committee on State Affairs with new speeches. Curtis even reports on what amendments came out of the “conservative” Convention of States 3-day long Simulated Convention in Sep 2016 in Virginia.

Bearing in mind that since this was the FIRST TIME we addressed THIS committee, we gave them the benefit of a doubt that they had not yet heard the truth, and upon learning the truth, would protect our Constitution, and wow, the questions, praise God!!  Watch what happens…

NOW FOR THE FULL SENATE FLOOR VOTE SJR 102 (Term Limits Convention):
Remember the only two places we could stop Term Limits Convention was either in the above Assembly Committee or on the Senate floor?

We did. We stopped it on the Senate floor.

WE WON! 17-16

And then we lost. 17-15
.
Rather convenient, is it not, to be able to re-vote when you don’t get the vote you wanted?

This looks like 2 or more people secretly planning something unethical to me, which is the definition of conspiracy, but I could be wrong.
  • Some (who know more about this stuff than I do) speculate Darling did this on purpose, because this is a strategy that has been used elsewhere (you can only change your vote if the first time you voted with the majority, like hedging a bet). Whether she did it on purpose or not, what follows seems suspicious.
  • Pro-convention RINO Stroebel (the other author of the bill) made a beeline for the desk when he didn’t get it through the Senate despite every effort to rush this through.
  • Listen on the video as Darling (Senator from the 8th) says she wants to change her vote from Aye to Nay. (she voted nay the first time)
  • I think she disarmed democrats and anti-convention people to think we were going to win by an even greater number, 18-15
  • Then pro-convention President of the Senate RINO Kapenga (who I will never vote for again for his convention and election fraud decisions) immediately appeared to repeat her request, and smoothly, unnoticeably, changed her request that she wanted to do it from No to Yes. My husband caught it. I imagine Chair Kapenga (who went to training on how to get Convention bills through state legislatures) knew exactly what the agenda was that they were carrying out, and what Darling was doing — and when she voted again, she DID say AYE. (And she had asked to vote nay.)
  • If they had let her change her vote, instead of going into reconsideration, it still would not have changed the outcome, even though Chair Kapenga said it WOULD. Because he said it would, the Democrats naturally objected, which (unfortunately) pushed the bill into reconsideration and a revote.
When Senator Roth read the rules to them, he knew Sen Darling changing her vote alone could not change the outcome of the vote. He testified against this bill (one of the few conservatives on our side) and said some nice things about our kid’s testimonies on the Senate floor, in the video below, I think within the first 10 min. His speech is good on the ramifications of Term Limits –  unelected bureaucrats (like the CDC doing illegal eviction notices or the attempted use of OSHA for mandated medical procedures in the workplace, etc) prove that Term Limits will have no one running our government that is accountable to the people, whereas the Deep State will live forever).

Back to the unanimous consent to change Darling’s vote (that would NOT have changed the outcome):
Anyone there that day knew there was a pretty good chance the Senator from the 4th would object, since she was objecting to everything all day long because she was protesting that her bill was not passed. And sure enough, she is the only one that did object. I believe that Sen Carpenter who was rightly questioning the ethics of this, understood he should leave it alone and it wouldn’t change the outcome. But Sen from the 4th did object. Which opened the door for reconsideration and a full Senate revote, and a revote DOES change the outcome. Watching it will add further understanding.
FYI:
Senator Erpenbach gave an excellent speech against SJR 102 and voted against it. After the vote, he went home, not knowing they would vote again or that it would change the outcome. This is the reason the vote tally lost a voter the second time.

I question the timing of “the Senate will stand informal for 30 sec” (while they conspire for 5 min?), Darling comes to the desk, Kapenga speaks with her, and then after the 5 min, by a stroke of luck, RINO LeMahieu suddenly tables the bill they were on, which had they continued, would have made reconsideration (revote) impossible, to the Chair appearing “busy” with papers while he’s waiting for his communications from the phone – who is on the other end?, to the Chair giving false information to everyone that changing Darling’s vote would change the outcome – so that people would protest it so that she COULD request reconsideration to revote that WOULD change the outcome — it is all well orchestrated.

I am Convinced we are NOT watching something innocent.

A New Crisis and Pretext for the Great Reset
With rising resistance to the dragged-out Pandemic panic propaganda, the military conflict in Ukraine is being presented by corporate media as unprovoked Russian aggression and justification for further internationalist intervention. “These are the things you shall do: Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace.” Zechariah 8:16

However, from the Russian perspective their military operation in Ukraine is actually a logical reaction to deliberate provocations by the Biden and Obama administrations.

Creating a Crisis
Biden’s administration has evidently created this crisis to deflect attention from serious political failures at home and to create a scapegoat for The Great Collapse, which the New World Order is so committed to.​The Strategic Threat
The immediate cause of this crisis was Biden’s sudden, arbitrary and unilateral push to integrate Ukraine into NATO, placing anti-Russian armaments close to the Russian border.  This has been the political, geographical and diplomatic equivalent of the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, when the Soviet Union attempted to establish military bases in Cuba that could threaten American.

Abusing Ukraine as a Political Football
Ukraine has been used and abused by the US State Department for nefarious New World Order objectives. Ukraine did not ask for this. The European powers did not ask for it. In fact, back in 2013 and 2014, Germany strongly warned of the potentially disastrous consequences of this policy of absorbing Ukraine into NATO. “He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a dog by the ears.” Proverbs 26:1

Germany also invested over Euro 11 billion into the natural gas pipeline with Russia. Some even suggest that stopping this Nord Stream 2 pipeline has been the primary objective of the Biden administration, to avoid the influence of Russia increasing at American expense.Sponsoring a Revolution
Setting up Russia and backing them into a strategic corner to essentially have no choice but to respond militarily was precisely what Obama, Biden and Clinton achieved in 2014 by sponsoring and encouraging the violent mob violence in the streets of Kiev and the color revolution coup which removed Ukraine’s elected pro-Russian president, replacing him with a client of the US State Department, who then rejected the economic alliance with Russia in favor of integrating with European Union and NATO.  “It is an honor for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.” Proverbs 20:

The Crisis in Crimea
That 2014 coup in Ukraine, especially as it threatened Russian interests in the Crimean Peninsula, was the geopolitical equivalent of if Russia had seized the US Pacific Ocean naval base in San Diego away from the U.S. The USA could never accept that.Self Determination
To protect Russia’s strategic national interests Putin had no choice but to reclaim their territory, which had been Russian since it was liberated from the Ottoman Turkish Empire in the 1700s and which the population overwhelmingly supported in a referendum. The Gay Agenda Connection
Barack Obama (who had come to hate Putin for opposing his LGBTQ agenda, banning gay propaganda to children in Russia in 2013) set up a series of provocative and threatening events like a row of dominoes: so as to be able to accuse Russia of aggression. “…Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? That Russian “military aggression” could then be used to restart the Cold War and justify U.S. military intervention in Ukraine as a pretext for plundering it. This initiated a campaign of Mafia-style piracy – a protection racket on a national scale – which was headed by Joe Biden as the godfather, with son Hunter serving as his in-country enforcer. “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption…” 2 Peter 2:19

Civil War in Eastern Ukraine
As a direct consequence of the Obama sponsored orange revolution coup and the immediate cancelling of minority (Russian) language rights, regions with an overwhelmingly Russian majority, such as in Donetsk and Luhansk, declared independence from Ukraine. This triggered a civil war which ended with a ceasefire in August 2014 and the boundaries being recognized by the Treaty of Minsk in 2015. Yet hostile actions by the Ukraine government armed forces continued sporadically. Over 15,000 civilians in these separatist regions of eastern Ukraine were killed by Ukrainian armed forces artillery and rocket barrages and airstrikes before this year.The Refusal to Give Non-nuclear Guarantees
When Biden rejected Russia’s demand for a promise that Ukraine would not become a base for anti-Russian nuclear missiles, Putin’s predictable decision was to formally recognize Donetsk and Luhansk as independent countries and to enter into mutual defense agreements. That, from the Russian perspective, justified the current military incursion into these two states, including the offensive assault on Ukraine airports, weapons and military infrastructure.

Establishing Defensive Buffer Zones
Geographically, Donetsk borders Russia and has a stretch of coastline on the Sea of Azov (with access to the Black Sea) close to Crimea. Luhansk is immediately north of Donetsk and also borders Russia. The two states now form a friendly buffer zone for Russia between itself and U.S.-controlled Ukraine. The Putin strategy is similar to what the U.S. has done in the Balkans and other places and is comparable to similar U.S. actions.Distraction and Scapegoat
With the world’s attention now riveted on Ukraine, the U.S. media has begun blaming America’s internal economic troubles and failings on the Ukraine/Russia conflict. The U.S. elites now have their distraction and their scapegoat in the form of “unprovoked Russian aggression.” The first casualty in war is truth.  “Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips and from a deceitful tongue. Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord. But those who deal truthfully are His delight.” Proverbs 12:22

​The Power of Propaganda
Many politicians and journalists in America are beating the war drums and working up a patriotic fervor to rally behind the president, punish Vladimir Putin, support Ukraine and get US involved in the war. Those who advocate caution or try to explain the complications and context of this conflict, are being branded unpatriotic traitors. The war has the potential to spiral out of control and involve many more countries in Europe and even further afield. “Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor…” Ephesians 4:25Lost Opportunities for Peace
It is well to remember at this time that the USA under Obama and Biden: refused Russian president Vladimir Putin’s proposals for Russian membership in NATO, rejected proposals for a neutral and demilitarised Ukraine, refused restoration of minority language rights for Russians in Ukraine, denied requests for autonomy in Donetsk and Luhansk and most recently rejected requests for guarantees that American missiles would not be placed in Ukraine. “Then Jesus said:… ‘And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.'” John 8:31-32

Lessons to be Learned
One would hope, at this time of tragic crisis and war, that lessons could be learned.
Meddling in other countries, sponsoring revolutions and coups to topple foreign governments, can have catastrophic consequences.
(This is true not only for the Ukraine, but also for Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria.)
Violating agreements and ignoring warnings can be disastrous.
Abolishing minority language rights for Russians in Ukraine and refusing requests for autonomy in regions with a Russian majority population was not wise.
Continuing to expand NATO and the European Union eastwards, despite repeated warnings from Russia, was viewed as threatening Russia’s strategic security.
Refusing the application by Russia to join NATO was, in hindsight, perhaps not the best policy.
Isolating, enforcing sanctions and threatening Russia not only drove this potential ally away from the West but forced them to make a deal with China.
Russia could be a powerful ally to counter the rising threat of Red China.
Alienating and demonizing Russia has not improved the security of NATO.
American meddling in Ukraine has not improved the lives, or security, of Ukrainians.

  Kathi Lear was born and raised in Salem, Oregon, hailing from a pioneer family that included generations of Methodist ministers who made their way across the country via the Oregon Trail in the mid-1800’s and beyond. 
Following a 35+ year career in the financial services industry and having had the honor of caring for her parents in the final years of their lives, she met and married Patriot Pastor Garrett Lear, moving to the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire in the foothills of the White Mountains.
 Kathi has a love for Jesus and a desire that all people would come to know the love of Christ as Lord and Savior, embracing the Divine plan He’s established for our lives and intends for us to live out, here and now.  Her passion is to be a voice of reason and understanding, connecting Biblical truth with the cultural moment we live in, embracing Christian worldview as a way of living, not just a way of thinking.

The Treasured Tools of Tyrants by Dr. Peter Hammond

Great Repression
All over the world we are seeing courageous individuals responding to The Great Reset with Great Resistance. We have seen Great Repression seeking to crush the Resistance, not only in Canada, but also in Australia, New Zealand, in Europe and the United States and in South Africa. What are the tools and tactics of tyrants? How can we best recognize, resist and respond to repression? “He is conceited…he has an unhealthy interest in controversies and arguments that result in envy, quarrelling, malicious talk, evil suspicions.” 1 Timothy 6:4.

Blame-shifting and Bulling
The tools of tyrants include: boycotts and blacklisting, blame shifting and bulling, censorship and character assassination, discrediting, demonizing, distracting, defunding and de-platforming, excluding and economic warfare, fake news and false flags, gossip and gas-lighting, lies and libel, sanctions and slander, intimidation and interference, toxic terminology, threats and terrorism, propaganda and psychological warfare, revolution and repression. “While they promise them freedom, they themselves are slaves of depravity…” 2 Peter 2:19

Repressive Rule
In Canada we have seen Justin Trudeau using all of these favorite tools of tyrants against those who disagree with him. After almost 2 years of repressive rule in which the state claimed the power to determine who could work, when they could work, how they could work, where they could work, what they needed to wear, whether they were allowed to worship or not, and even what chemicals had to be injected into their body, there was rising Resistance. Instead of responding to the growing outrage over government overreach and intrusion into the everyday lives of communities, congregations, families and individuals, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau doubled down with even more repressive rules crushing working class people such as the truckers. “Justice is turned back and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street and equity cannot enter.” Isaiah 59:14

 

Gossip and Gas-lighting
When tens of thousands of people rose up in the Freedom Convoy to demand the end of medical tyranny, vaccine mandates and the masquerade madness, with hundreds of thousands of Canadians across the country coming out in enthusiastic support for their initiative, Trudeau responded with one of the favorite tools of tyrants. He slandered the truckers and their supporters as: right wing extremists, racists, misogynists, white supremacists, science deniers and Nazis! “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil… Who justify the wicked for a bribe and take away justice from the righteous man!” Isaiah 5:20-23

Slander is the Tool of the Loser
As Socrates observed: “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.” British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher would often repeat this quote when her opponents resorted to ad hominem arguments and slander. As in soccer, you’re meant to play the ball not the man. To kick a fellow player rather than the ball is to be guilty of a foul. In any debate, one should deal with the issue, not attack the individual with whom we are having the disagreement. “He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8

Character Assassination
Rather than addressing the issues being protested against by the Freedom Convoy, Justin Trudeau chose to character assassinate the protesters and then blame shifted by hypocritically accusing the truckers of interfering with the economy and people’s everyday lives! After two years of suffocating the economy and people’s everyday lives with the lockdown lunacy, masquerade madness, covid cult, salvation by vaccination mandates, it is incredible that Trudeau could have the audacity to blame the very people who were trying to open up the economy and bring freedom back to everyone’s daily lives, for the very policies he had been enforcing! “…’Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Therefore the wrath of the Lord is upon you.'” 2 Chronicles 19:2

Sanctions and Economic Warfare
Trudeau mobilized his minions to persuade go fund me to freeze the money raised to support the freedom convoy and then to prevent give send go from forwarding the funds raised for the protesters. Sanctions and economic warfare are popular tools of tyrants. “You shall not steal.” Exodus 10: 15

Communist Chinese Connection
Then we saw Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau emulating the Communist Chinese dictatorship that he has expressed such admiration for. Declaring a state of emergency, he mobilized his police to bully and bludgeon the peaceful protesters in the streets of Ottawa, freeze their bank accounts, confiscate their vehicles, threaten to take away their children and place them under state-controlled welfare and have their pets assigned to shelters where they could be euthanized! Not content with arresting the peaceful protesters, Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government were determined to destroy the lives of not only the protesters but also of those who supported them, even with small donations. “Their feet run to evil and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.” Isaiah 59:7

Harassment and Threats
The details of those who have given donations to the freedom convoy were published online leading to much harassment and threats being unleashed upon simple working class people and entrepreneurs. “You shall not covet … ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilment of the Law.” Romans 13:8-10

Pervasive Propaganda
All of this was made possible by the pervasive propaganda which demonized simple working class people who wanted their lives back. Fake news enabled Trudeau’s tyranny. False flags were also used to distract from the primary message of the thousands of truckers and hundreds of thousands of their supporters. Words were weaponized and terminology made toxic. Canadians were warned that the word Freedom is subversive and is code for white supremacy and right-wing extremism. “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1

Using George Orwell’s 1984 as a Manual
It would appear that liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada has used George Orwell’s 1984 as a manual rather than recognizing it as a warning of tyrannical tools and tactics to be avoided. George Orwell warned of the dangers of totalitarian government and the subversion of language, where the Ministry of Truth (Minitruth) deals with lies and propaganda, demonizing the opponents of the state, making them unpersons/vaporizing them and ensuring that their message and identity disappear down the memory hole. The Ministry of plenty (miniplenty) deals with rationing and ensures starvation. The ministry of peace (Minipeace) deals with war and the ministry of love (Minilove) deals with torture to ensure subservience and obedience from the masses. “The way of peace they have not known and there is no justice in their ways; they have made themselves crooked paths; whoever takes that way shall not know peace.” Isaiah 59:8.

Double Standards and Hypocrisy
In the name of democracy the peaceful protests of many tens of thousands of Canadians were suppressed. In the name of Law & Order, the rule of law was suspended and effective martial law enforced. Those who normally trumpet tolerance crushed dissent and outlawed freedom of assembly, freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, freedom of worship, freedom of opinion and freedom of the press. Even journalists were warned not to cover the police actions and journalists were attacked and arrested. “Who will rise up for Me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for Me against the workers of iniquity?” Psalm 94:16

Major problems identified in the data adjustments applied to a widely used global temperature dataset

Evaluation of the Homogenization Adjustments Applied to European Temperature Records in the Global Historical Climatology Network Dataset, which was recently published in the scientific journal, Atmosphere by Professor Willie Soon, et al

 

 

A new climate science study, involving a panel of 17 experts from 13 countries, has just been published in the scientific journal, Atmosphere. The study looked at the various data adjustments that are routinely applied to the European temperature records in the widely used Global Historical Climatology Network (GHCN) dataset over the last 10 years.

The GHCN monthly temperature dataset is the main data source for thermometer records used by several of the groups calculating global warming – including NOAA, NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) and the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).

These thermometer records can vary in length from decades to over a century. Over these long periods, the temperature records from individual weather stations often contain abrupt changes due to local factors that have nothing to do with global or national temperature trends. For example, changes in the location of the weather station, the types of thermometers used or the growth of urban heat islands around the station.

To try to correct for these non-climatic biases, NOAA, who maintain the GHCN dataset have been running a computer program to identify abrupt jumps in the records using statistical methods. Whenever the program identifies an abrupt jump it applies an adjustment to remove that jump from the station’s record. This process is called temperature homogenization. Until now, most scientists have assumed the process is generally working correctly.

In this new study, the authors analyzed thousands of different versions of the dataset downloaded over 10 years. They studied the homogenization adjustments for more than 800 European temperature records. They found that these adjustments changed dramatically every day when NOAA re-ran their computer program.

The authors found that only 17% of NOAA’s adjustments were consistent from run to run.

Furthermore, by compiling historical records known as station history metadata for each of the stations, they were able to compare the adjustments applied by NOAA’s computer program to the documented changes that were known to have occurred at the weather station. They found that less than 20% of the adjustments NOAA had been applying corresponded to any event noted by the station observers – such as a change in instrumentation or a station move.

The findings of the study show that most of the homogenization adjustments carried out by NOAA have been surprisingly inconsistent.

Moreover, every day, as the latest updates to the thermometer records arrive, the adjustments NOAA applies to the entire dataset are recalculated and changed. As a result, for any given station, e.g., Cheb, Czech Republic, the official homogenized temperatures for 1951 (as an example) might be very different in Tuesday’s dataset than in Monday’s dataset.

The study itself was not focused on the net effects of these adjustments on long-term climate trends. However, the authors warned that these bizarre inconsistencies in this widely-used climate dataset are scientifically troubling. They also are concerned that most researchers using this important dataset have been unaware of these problems until now.

The authors conclude their study by making various recommendations for how these problems might be resolved, and how the temperature homogenization efforts can be improved in the future.

The Terraforming of America by Scott Faulkner

The Left is moving rapidly to change America forever.

Except for isolated pockets of resistance, such as during Virginia’s 2021 elections and 2022 executive and legislative actions, decades of the Left’s preparations are paying off for reshaping America into a unitary totalitarian state.

Starting with the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, the Left has acted like Chess Grandmasters.  They devised a detailed strategy, thinking and implementing many moves ahead of their opposition.

The Left’s actions, many decades in the making, is nothing less than “Terraforming” America into their Communist vision.  They are deliberately, and systematically, changing our nation’s entire landscape, modifying America’s institutions, civic culture and society to make them more habitable for their uch-heralded “Great Reset.” [John Holdren in his own (radical) words – CFACT]

The “Great Reset” is the global devolution or destruction of capitalism, democracy, entire energy and economic systems, and personal freedoms, in the name of preventing climate change. It is about eradicating “white privilege,” and the institutions and cultures of “white exploitation,” to remake society based on “equity, diversity and inclusion.” [The Great Reset | Reset and shape the future]

It all began with Stuart Chase, one of the founding members of President Franklin Roosevelt’s (FDR) “Brain Trust.” Chase coined the term “The New Deal” and promoted eliminating America’s free enterprise system, “by firing squad if necessary.” [The Rise of the Administrative State – The New American]

Chase gained inspiration and insights into how to implement a Communist state during his 1927 meetings with Stalin and Trotsky. In his 1932 “New Deal” book, Chase mused, “Why should the Russians have all the fun of remaking the world?”

FDR’s Brain Trust thought well beyond building the massive New Deal bureaucracy. Rexford Tugwell, another “Brain Truster,” drafted a “Constitution for the New States of America.” His goal was nothing less than remaking America as the next Soviet Union.  [Constitutional Convention | Proposed Constitution for the Newstates of America (sweetliberty.org)]

 

Tugwell’s Constitution abolished all aspects of federalism. It eliminated states, turning them into uniform administration districts with equal population. It abolished the “Bill of Rights,” creating a laundry list of “Rights and Responsibilities” for citizens to act on behalf of the state. Any individual actions could be erased based upon “declared emergencies” (think Trudeau’s Canada in recent weeks) and for “conforming to such standards as may improve health and welfare.” Tugwell knew Sovietizing America would  “require the laying of rough, unholy hands on many a sacred precedent.” [The Rise of the Administrative State – The New American]

The Left’s “Terraforming” of America is guided by the Chase/Tugwell vision. Capturing the cultural levers and the media were achieved by the 1960s. Dumbing down the youth, and ultimately indoctrinating them in Leftist thought, began with Howard Zinn’s 1980 revisionist history, “A People’s History of the United States,” which became the standard high school textbook for a generation. A parallel project was shrinking civics education to the point where only 23% of eighth-graders perform at or above the proficient level on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) civics exam, and only 26% of Americans can name all three branches of government. The Left realized that America’s history must be entirely reshaped to achieve the “Great Reset.”

The Left had to prevent Americans from separately honoring the morality, integrity and greatness of Washington and Lincoln. They did so by lumping all 46 Presidents’ birthdays together in 1971. Since then, all other presidents (including mediocrities like Pierce, Fillmore and Carter) get to dilute the commemoration of our most accomplished presidents.

Communists usually use economic jealousy as their wedge issue. Focusing on America’s racial history was determined to gain more traction.

In 2019, through the New York Times and other media, the Left launched their 1619 History Curriculum Project. Under the banner of “inclusive history,” “Critical Race Theory” (CRT) and dozens of other labels, versions of the 1619 curriculum rapidly spread to thousands of schools. [Project1619]

1619’s politically correct “wokism” declared that “everything is racist” and built cases for eliminating the Electoral College, the Senate Filibuster, the Senate itself, our Founding documents, the American flag, America’s National Anthem, and even the nuclear family. Reshaping our collective memory, and the physical touchstones that validate our memory, is directly from the Communist playbook.

Eliminating statues and eradicating holidays are central to Terraforming America. Once our national symbols and rituals are uprooted, American society will be adrift, ripe for reshaping. Thus Juneteenth is now considered more “inclusive” than the Fourth of July. One day only the “woke” holiday will remain. [Citizen Oversight: Assault on July 4th]

The Left is methodically replacing the existing “pro-America” calendar with their perverse “Advent Calendar for Anarchy.” We are now expected to annually focus on Floyd, Ferguson, Charlottesville and January 6, instead of true milestones like the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787.

The Left has a hundred-year head start on us and commands the levers of power. It will take years of dedication, courage, perseverance and providence to turn the tide. Let us begin in 2022.
