When Leftists don’t win at the ballot box, little seems off limits for advancing their agenda

One year ago, ProPublica published illegally leaked IRS data on America’s wealthiest taxpayers. The “newsroom” said it obtained the information from “an anonymous source,” thanks to the ease with which people with access to information can secretly copy and transmit it with a few mouse clicks.

ProPublica piously claimed its actions were meant to advance “tax fairness” and help Congress and the Biden administration pay for all the trillions of dollars lavished on Covid and Build Back Better, by making it harder for the über-rich “to avoid tax burdens borne by ordinary citizens.”

But as I’ve noted previously, their approach is hideously complicated. Assets that increase in value from some retroactive mythical or arbitrary acquisition price would get taxed whopping amounts. If assets later depreciate, the wealthy will require credits or refunds for billion-dollar unrealized losses. Worse, the initial 700-1,000 ultra-rich would likely balloon to millions of taxpayers, as happened with the Alternative Minimum Tax, under this accountant, appraiser, auditor and lawyer appreciation legislation.

The IRS and Justice Department say they are deeply concerned, devoted to protecting taxpayer information, and committed to getting to the bottom of the data theft scandal. But the perpetrators have yet to be identified, prosecuted or punished – and ProPublica certainly hasn’t been canceled by or banished from Facebook or Twitter.

Indeed, ProPublica published more stolen confidential data this year. Again, no accountability for the perps – any more than there was for Lois Lerner, who used the IRS to target conservative groups and obstruct their tax-exempt certifications, so that they could not engage in activities that might have affected the outcomes of multiple elections.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) says the ProPublica saga is just “one more example of the government being weaponized” against the American people. However, only the chairs of relevant committees can demand that the IRS Inspector General brief Congress, the IRS told Jordan, and those Democrat chairs have little interest in doing so.

The saga also further documents how “public servants” too often assist “progressive” Democrats, Big Media, Big Tech and Big Academia in driving far-left economic, energy and “social and climate justice” agendas – employing the full heft of the Deep State and wealthy corporations.

Yet some still say they’re baffled that so many distrust and despise the IRS and Federal Government.

Despite the gravity of these data thefts, the anniversary was barely mentioned in most news media. Nor were other anniversaries. Five years ago this month, a former Bernie Sanders volunteer tried to gun down Republican congressmen during baseball practice. Six years ago, Antifa thugs and arsonists were ramping up their multiyear assault on 2016 election results, America’s democracy, police stations and courthouses, people’s homes and livelihoods, and conservative families in their favorite restaurants.

What did get extensive attention was the partisan House of Representatives inquisition into the January 6, 2021 “violent attack” on the Capitol, in an “attempt to prevent certification” of the 2020 election results. President Trump and others have been charged with “high crimes and misdemeanors” and “engaging in insurrection or rebellion against the United States,” despite asking his supporters to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” It’s a good distraction from our economic and energy problems.

Some of President Trump’s rhetoric was certainly intemperate, and some marchers certainly broke windows and entered the Capitol. However, the only serious violence was the unjustifiable killing of Ashli Babbitt by Capitol Hill policeman Michael Byrd, and Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) clearly failed to ensure adequate security that day.

But if some of President Trump’s language rose to the level of “inciting violence,” what are we to make of other rhetoric? Then-Senator Kamala Harris declared that the “mostly peaceful” Black Lives Matter and Antifa protests are “not gonna stop before Election Day, and they’re not gonna stop after Election Day.” She also supported a Soros fund that helped bail rioters out of jail.

Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) demanded “No peace, no sleep!” for Trump officials. “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station,” she ranted, “tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

Standing outside the Supreme Court, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) warned: “I want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh: You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

The far-left group Ruth Sent Us published the home addresses of conservative Supreme Court justices, and even the school attended by Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s children. An anti-Israel Boston-area Boycott Divest Sanction (BDS) outfit posted maps of Jewish organizations it wants to “disrupt.”

The consequences are predictable. Violent protests rage on, with more promised if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade. Jane’s Revenge extremists is firebombing 20-some pro-life churches and pregnancy counseling offices in multiple states. And a pro-abortion gunman arrested at 1:00 am outside the Kavanaugh residence told police he intended to assassinate the Justice. (The NY Times and other liberal papers barely covered the murder plot.)

Threats and protests following a leaked draft of a Supreme Court decision reversing past abortion rulings prompted the US Senate to unanimously pass legislation protecting the Justices’ families. But Speaker Pelosi sat on the measure for five weeks, including a full week after the attempted assassination. It finally passed the House with 27 Democrats voting against it, including five Squad members.

Our system cannot abide blatantly different standards of justice and discourse. It’s flat-out illegal to threaten or intimidate judges or justices, to advance desired decisions. And censorship of unwanted opinions and inconvenient facts brings dictatorship and disastrous policies.

But the Democrat-run Congress and Executive Branch are clearly taking America down this path, weaponizing government institutions, imposing different rules and standards against different classes of citizens, and colluding with print, electronic and social media to control information and debate.

This final problem is rapidly metastasizing. Press Secretary Jen Psaki admitted the White House is collaborating with social media companies to censor alleged COVID “disinformation,” while government agencies ramp up “disinformation research and tracking” – and flag “problematic posts that spread disinformation,” so that Facebook, Twitter and YouTube can cancel and delete them.

Having already succeeded in getting social media to silence those who question climate crisis claims, White House climate adviser Gina McCarthy now wants Big Tech titans to cancel anyone who says “green” energy and other climate “solutions” will harm the environment and living standards. Even pointing out limitations of lithium-ion batteries is “disinformation” that threatens public health, she says.

Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security has proposed a Disinformation Governance Board that might forge “public-private partnerships between DHS and Twitter” – the better to combat disinformation about masking, vaccines and other “serious homeland security risks,” say internal DHS emails.

The Left clearly intends to gain full control, and will not settle for less. If it cannot achieve its ends via ballot boxes (no matter how stuffed or harvested they might be), then agencies will connive with print, electronic and social media – in clear violation of First Amendment prohibitions against government abridging freedom of speech. Failing that, it will resort to cartridge boxes and Molotov cocktails.

Unless, that is, We the People rise up to stop this assault on Americas’ democracy and personal freedoms.

How Pastors Can Recover America

Camp Constitution recently sponsored speaking engagements in Lexington, MA, Alton, NH and Lebanon, NH for Dr. Rick Scarborough of Recover America   https://recoveramerica.com/   As a part of the modern-day Black Robe Regiment, Dr. Rick is organizing pastors to lead their members to register to vote, vote according to Biblical principles, and as the Lord leads, run for office.  In this presentation which took place at the First Parish Congregational Church in Lebanon, Maine Wednesday June 22, Dr. Scarborough explains how he was able to mobilize hundreds of pastors in Texas back in 2002 which turned Texas red, and his project to organize pastors around the United States.

If this is allowed to go on while they are sleeping under our roofs, think of how easily their minds can be twisted once they leave home and attend a university. At the same time, our children are not being taught the fundamentals of reading, writing, and math. Furthermore, many school districts have become financial disasters.

To implement our mission, Recover America engages in the following activities, among others: Hosts Pastor and faith leader conferences and training sessions, hosts forums for congregations to learn more about school board candidates, develops and distributes tools such as voter guides based on values, and continually encourages our pastors, donors, and friends to get involved.

In 2021, our focus was on Greater Houston school board elections including Houston Independent School (Houston ISD) and Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (Cy-Fair ISD), the 1st and 3rd largest school districts respectively in Texas with more than 300,000 children enrolled. For the 2022 elections, we are expanding to cover all of the great state of Texas maintaining school boards as our top, but not exclusive, priority.

Successes So Far:  Conservative values won an unprecedented victory in the 2021 Greater Houston School Board elections. Two committed Christians, including a Pastor, won runoff races for Houston ISD, the largest school district in Texas. Additionally, Biblical values candidates won all three positions in Cy-Fair ISD, the 3rd largest Texas school district. We have now witnessed the election of five Christian Conservatives to school boards, all replacing long-tenure Leftist incumbents, and impacting over 300,000 students. This is Great News! The Sam Blumenfeld Legacy

I first met Sam Blumenfeld back in 1989 at an event in Windham, NH which hosted an eyewitness to Tiananmen Square massacre. At our meeting Sam said, “Never let your children set foot in a government school.” It was some of the best advice I ever took.

 

Sam was born in the South Bronx in 1926. The son of Jewish immigrants from Poland. Sam went to New York’s public schools where he learned to read via phonics. Sam would recount to audiences in later years that his classrooms had chairs and desks bolted to the floor, and the only things mounted on the walls of the classroom where pictures of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and the letters of the alphabet in cursive. Over the PA system, his principal would lead the school in prayer, and read the “Twenty-Third Psalm.” His parents instilled a love of the United States which was reinforced by his teachers in New York City’s public schools. Sam was a World War II veteran who served as an artilleryman in the Italian Theater under General Mark Clark. He authored poems about his wartime experiences including a stanza which tells the story of Sam showing mercy to a sick German soldier whom he shared his food with and one on death:

The Dead: Inhabiting the Fields I would have never known the smell of death

had I not gone to Italy and rode across the valley.

And surely it is peculiar for I had never seen dead bodies before

and I had always held my breath when a hearse crossed my path.

But in the valley, I could not close my eyes or steal past the” dead,

nor could I hold my breath, for death filled the air and was soaked in the fields,

and its odor was sweetly mixed with that of the soil,

and when darkness fell the land and sky became so arranged

that the l living was undistinguishable from the dead and the dead placed their arms around all that slept into the night

After the war, Sam attended and graduated from City College of New York and then studied in France where he befriended author James Baldwin. In the late 1950s. Sam worked for the publishing company Grosset and Dunlop where he would edit the Hardy Boy and Nancy Drew mystery books. In the early 1960s, his friend attorney Watson Washburn, a tennis star, asked him to join his Reading Reform Foundation. Sam asked why it was necessary to have such a foundation believing that government schools still used phonics to teach children to read. Mr. Washburn suggested that Sam read Why Johnny Can’t Read by Rudolf Flesch. The book was rightfully critical of the look-say method of reading and promoted the use of intensive phonics. The book changed Sam’s life. Sam went beyond Mr. Flesch’s research leading Sam to conclude that the so-called progressive educators were deliberately dumbing down the children of America.

Sam went on to be an editor for a now-defunct weekly publication “The Review of the News” He also founded American Friends of Katanga, American Friends of Algeria, and the Society of Jewish Americanists. He befriended many leaders in the liberty movement but his affiliation with Robert Welch and The John Birch Society caused a rift with Sam and some of his what is now known as Neo-Conservatives friends including William Buckley, and Victor Lasky.

Sam’s first book was How to Start Your Own Private School: And Why You Need One. He took his own advice by helping to start Hyde Park Academy and South Boston Academy in Boston during the height of forced bussing. Sam became “a sad atheist” after the death of his father, but while researching the early history of education in Colonial New England, he became a devout Christian.

By the mid-1970s, Sam became a pioneer in the modern home school movement. His follow up books included Is Public Education Necessary and the NEA: Trojan Horse in the American Education. His last book which he co-authored with Alex Newman was Crimes of the Educators. Sam was ahead of his times when he warned parents that children are at risk in government schools physically, spiritually, morally, and intellectually. Sam’s most important works was his Alpha-Phonics workbook which my wife and I used to teach our children how to read. Unlike most reading books, it has no pictures. Sam would remark that “You do not need puppets popping out of trash cans to teach children how to read. Sam not only taught children how to read, but he also instructed adults who were functionally illiterate due to the government schools use of the look-say method. Sam volunteered his services at Boston’s WAAIT-We Are All in This Together where he taught inner-city adults how to read.

 

Sam was a regular at homeschool conventions all over the United States where he would promote phonics, cursive first and basic arithmetic. He also would give lectures on the plan to dumb the children of America down,   From Horace Mann’s compulsory educations laws to John Dewey and his goal to use the schoolroom to promote socialism and atheism, to sex education and death education, to  Marc Tucker, and his “school to work” policies under the Clinton Administration,  to Bill Gates’ creation and funding of Common Core,  Sam presented damning evidence to prove that our nation’s government schools were under the control of the elites who hated America.  He would appear on television and radio talk shows, and his writing would be published in dozens including ‘Boston Magazine,” “The New American,” “The Chalcedon Report, ““Imprimis,” and World Net Daily.

Twenty or so years ago, he told me that he would do his writing and lectures until he drops. He was true to his word. I last visited him in late May of 2015 where he was on his deathbed. He was still autographing copies of his books. He died several days later June 1, 2015. I made a pledge to Sam on his death bed that his works would be used by unborn generations. He willed me most of his library, papers, and recording. Thanks to two talented people, Mark Affleck, our camp newspaper editor, and Eric Conover, our webmaster, the Samuel Blumenfeld Archives was created, we were able to digitize most of his books, unpublished manuscripts, articles, newsletters, and speeches in both MP3 and MP4 formats. The archives receive over two million views a year and thousands of downloads of his “Alpha-Phonics” and other works. People from all over the world but in the U.S. are using his reading program to create highly literate children and adults. The Weekly Sam: Why the Federal Government Should Get Out of Education by Sam Blumenfeld

Most Americans want less government, smaller government and lower taxes. The only
way to accomplish this is by abolishing federal departments and bureaucracies. As far
back as the Reagan administration, Republicans promised to abolish the Department of
Education. They couldn’t do it then because they lacked a majority in Congress. But
whatever happened to the plan to abolish the Department of Education when Republicans
became the majority? Not only did they forget their promise, but in September 1996 they
passed the single largest increase in federal education funding: $3.5 billion. Who were
the Republicans trying to impress? The National Education Association?
The basic question is: Can good education be provided in the U.S. without the help or
intrusion of the federal government? The answer is clearly yes. In fact, there is ample
evidence indicating that the present decline in educational quality is a direct result of
federal funding which has been used by the educators to fund more and more expensive
educational malpractice.

A little historical background will help us understand why the federal role in education in
America is more of an aberration than a natural development. There is no mention of
education in the U.S. Constitution. However, in 1785 and 1787, while the United States
were still under the Articles of Confederation, the Continental Congress passed the
Northwest Ordinance Acts which provided for the orderly settlement of the Northwest
Territory and encouraged the establishment of schools in the territory by stating:
“Religion, morality and knowledge being necessary to good government and the
happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall be encouraged.” The
new states were required to set aside the 16th section of each township to be used for
educational purposes. But there was no requirement that the schools be government
owned and operated.

Seventy-five years later, in 1862, Congress passed and President Lincoln signed the
Morrill Land Grant Act providing each loyal state with 30,000 acres of land for each
Senator and Representative, the land to be used for agricultural and mechanical schools
under a measure proposed by Senator Justin S. Morrill of Vermont. Five years later, in
1867, a federal Office of Education was established. Its purpose was:

“To collect such statistics and facts as shall show the condition and progress of education in the
several States and Territories, and to diffuse such information respecting the organization and
management of schools and school systems, and methods of teaching as shall aid the People of
the United States in the establishment and maintenance of efficient school systems, and
otherwise promote the cause of education throughout the country.”

It should be noted that the National Education Association had been founded ten years
earlier in 1857 and that its members called for the establishment of a federal department
of education at the founding convention. And it is obvious that in that statement of
purpose was an expansionist view of the government’s future role in education.
After World War I, the NEA began a long range campaign to get federal aid for public
education. From 1867 to 1940–a period of 73 years–the Congress passed about 11 minor
pieces of legislation related to education. The fear of federal control of schools kept most
legislators from voting for federal aid to public education. But resistance was gradually
broken down by such acts as the National School Lunch Act of 1946, the School Milk
Program Act of 1954.

But it was the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 passed during the
Johnson administration which opened the floodgates of the U.S. Treasury for the benefit
of the education establishment. From 1965 to 1983–18 years–there were 43 education
acts passed by the Congress, including the establishment in 1979 of a U.S. Department of
Education with cabinet status. In the year 1994 alone, there were about 180 educational
restructuring bills before Congress! The three most important bills enacted were the
Goals 2000 Act, the School-to-Work Opportunities Act, and the Improving America’s
Schools Act, a reauthorization of the ESEA of 1965. All of this legislation was passed
with much Republican help. In short, the Congress launched an avalanche of bills which
virtually amounted to a cultural revolution.

It seemed as if all restraints had been removed on government expansion and intrusion
into education, and the Republican Congress did nothing to reverse the trend. That is
why the federal government has become a government of unlimited power.
We must return to the principle of limited government if we wish to reduce the cost of
government and its unwarranted intrusion in the education of our children. A limited
federal government does only those things that cannot be done by the states or the private
sector. The purpose of taxes is to pay for government not change society.
There is no doubt that the federal intrusion in education has harmed education and
produced the dumbing down effect. Test scores attest to this bizarre phenomenon. Since
1962, SAT verbal scores have declined despite billions of federal dollars pumped into
public education. In September 1993, the U.S. Department of Education revealed that
some 90 million adult Americans have grossly inadequate reading and writing skills,
despite compulsory school attendance. The more federal money Congress pumps into
education the worse it gets. Why? Because educational malpractice is very expensive,
and without federal funding we’d have much less of it.

The simple truth is that federal education programs cost the taxpayers billions of dollars,
and not one of these programs has actually improved education. Claims have been made
that Headstart is a successful program. But research indicates that whatever gains
children make in Headstart are lost by the third grade. Federal education grants subsidize

a liberal academic elite with its secular humanist,
socialist agenda, thus violating the Constitutional prohibition against establishing a state
religion: Humanism.

The Data Collection System of the National Center for Education Statistics threatens
family privacy and freedom. Children are not a “national resource” to be monitored and
controlled for use by the state or industry. They are individuals whose lives belong to
themselves, not to “the economy.”

The federal government has institutionalized educational malpractice by supporting
unsound educational theories and practices which have found their way into the public
schools via the federally funded National Diffusion Network. Federal aid to public
education simply reinforces a socialist, government owned and operated education system
which distorts market values and encourages monopoly union practices.
Meanwhile, the education establishment continues to grow and prosper. In 1982, the
average public school teacher’s salary was $19,274. In 1995 it was up to $37,643., and in
2008 it us up to $47,602. In 1982, per pupil expenditure was $2,726. In 1995-96 the
national average was up to $6,213, and in 2009 it was up to $9,963. In 1984, total
expenditure for public education was $134.5 billion. In 2002 it had risen to $420 billion.

In short, never has public education been more generously supported by the taxpayer and
never have our schools seen more violence, academic disarray, and parental
dissatisfaction than the present. What is even more shocking is that over four million
students must be drugged daily with Ritalin in order to be able to attend class.
Today, well-connected change agents like Mark Tucker are busy imposing on America
the new Human Resources Development System, exuberantly described by Tucker in an
18-page letter to Hillary Clinton when her husband was elected President. Tucker
described his system as “a seamless web of opportunities to develop one’s skills that
literally extends from cradle to grave and is the same system for everyone–young and old,
poor and rich, worker and full-time student.”

And so, in place of academic excellence, we have Outcome Based Education, Whole
Language, Multiculturalism, Skinnerian Mastery Learning, National Teaching Standards
and Certification, School-Based Clinics, Attitude Assessments, Global Citizenship, and
Socialized Medicine for every student.

What is actually taking place is a cultural revolution engineered by behavioral
psychologists, humanist educators, and socialist change agents using a whole galaxy of
education programs to implement their agenda, financed by the federal government.
And much of this has taken place when Republicans were in control of Congress. And
that accounts for the extreme frustration of conservatives who vote Republican but get
liberal results. When will this change?

The takeover of the White House and the federal government by radical leftists has finally
awakened the American people to what has happened to this country since we started
allowing the federal government to exceed all limits placed on it by the Constitution. But
in order to succeed in restoring the principles of government held by our founding fathers,
we must return to limited government. This can only be done if the American people
realize the potential for tyranny inherent in a government education system.

The most important institution in a socialist state is a government owned and controlled
school system wherein children can be indoctrinated to accept a socialist way of life. And
the best way to prevent this from occurring is to return to the concept of educational
freedom in which the federal government has no role in education.
Local public schools can easily become private institutions governed by local trustees and
supported by tuition fees. This would greatly reduce the tax burden on home owners and
provide more than enough resources to pay for the tuitions of poor families. The costs of
education would decrease dramatically since education would once more become reality
based wherein the fundamental academic subjects would be taught without the added
costs of educational malpractice. Individual intelligence would be enhanced, while
collectivist group-think would be discarded.

Can this be done? Only if America’s conservative leaders demand that it should be done.
The home-school movement has already proven that parents can actually teach better
than our high-priced professionals, that children progress better academically when taught
at home, and that the cost of educating a child at home is less than $1,000 a year.
If Americans want to once more experience what it means to be free, they must burst out
of the high-priced straitjacket imposed on them by the socialist education tyrants. If they
want better education at lower cost, then the prescription for success is simple: get the
government out of education.

The Weekly Sam: The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America

Charlotte Iserbyt has put her great exposé of the dumbing-down agenda of American education on the Internet, so that anyone
can now read it and download it free of charge. The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America is a big book and so very important
that anyone interested in the future of this country must read it. I wrote a Foreword for the book that basically explains what
Charlotte achieved by her incredible research based on documents she took out of the files of the Department of Education in Washington, where she worked as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI) during the first Reagan administration. She is the consummate whistleblower, with an overwhelming sense of responsibility as a public servant and a parent. Here’s
the essence of what I wrote:

Charlotte Iserbyt is to be greatly commended for having put together the most formidable and practical compilation of
documentation describing the “deliberate dumbing down” of American children by their education system. Anyone
interested in the truth will be shocked by the way American social engineers have systematically gone about destroying
the intellect of millions of American children for the purpose of leading the American people into a socialist world
government controlled by behavioral and social scientists.

Mrs. Iserbyt has also documented the gradual transformation of our once academically successful education system into
one devoted to training children to become compliant human resources to be used by government and industry for their
own purposes. This is how fascist-socialist societies train their children to become servants of their government masters.
The successful implementation of this new philosophy of education will spell the end of the American dream of individual
freedom and opportunity. The government will plan your life for you, and unless you comply with government restrictions
and regulations your ability to pursue a career of your own choice will be severely limited.

What is so mind boggling is that all of this is being financed by the American people themselves through their own taxes.
In other words, the American people are underwriting the destruction of their own freedom and way of life by lavishly
financing through federal grants the very social scientists who are undermining our national sovereignty and preparing
our children to become the dumbed-down vassals of the new world order. It reminds one of how the Nazis charged their
victims train fare to their own doom.

One of the interesting insights revealed by these documents is how the social engineers use a deliberately created
education “crisis” to move their agenda forward by offering radical reforms that are sold to the public as fixing the crisis
— which they never do. The new reforms simply set the stage for the next crisis, which provides the pretext for the next
move forward. This is the dialectical process at work, a process our behavioral engineers have learned to use very
effectively. Its success depends on the ability of the “change agents” to continually deceive the public which tends to
believe anything the experts tell them.

And so, our children continue to be at risk in America’s schools. They are at risk academically because of such
programs as whole language, mastery learning, direct instruction, Skinnerian operant conditioning, all of which have
created huge learning problems that inevitably lead to what is commonly known as Attention Deficit Disorder and the
drugging of four million children with the powerful drug Ritalin.

Mrs. Iserbyt has dealt extensively with the root causes of immorality in our society and the role of the public schools in
the teaching of moral relativism (no right/no wrong ethics). She raises a red flag regarding the current efforts of left-wing
liberals and right-wing conservatives (radical center) to come up with a new kid on the block — “common ground”
character education — which will, under the microscope, turn out to be the same warmed-over values education alert
parent groups have resisted for over 50 years. This is a perfect example of the Hegelian Dialectic at work. (Karl Marx’s
communist philosophy is called “Dialectical Materialism.”)

The reader will find in this book a plethora of information that will leave no doubt in the mind of the serious researcher
exactly where the American education system is headed. If we wish to stop this juggernaut toward a socialist-fascist
system, then we must restore educational freedom to America. Americans forget that the present government education
system started as a Prussian import in the 1840’s–’50’s. It was a system built on Hegel’s belief that the state was “God”

I am oppressed with a sense of the impropriety of uttering words on this occasion. If silence is ever golden, it must be here beside the graves of fifteen thousand men, whose lives were more significant than speech, and whose death was a poem, the music of which can never be sung. With words we make promises, plight faith, praise virtue. Promises may not be kept; plighted faith may be broken; and vaunted virtue be only the cunning mask of vice. We do not know one promise these men made, one pledge they gave, one word they spoke; but we do know they summed up and perfected, by one supreme act, the highest virtues of men and citizens. For love of country they accepted death, and thus resolved all doubts, and made immortal their patriotism and their virtue. For the noblest man that lives, there still remains a conflict. He must still withstand the assaults of time and fortune, must still be assailed with temptations, before which lofty natures have fallen; but with these the conflict ended, the victory was won, when death stamped on them the great seal of heroic character, and closed a record which years can never blot.

I know of nothing more appropriate on this occasion than to inquire what brought these men here; what high motive led them to condense life into an hour, and to crown that hour by joyfully welcoming death? Let us consider.

Eight years ago this was the most unwarlike nation of the earth. For nearly fifty years no spot in any of these states had been the scene of battle. Thirty millions of people had an army of less than ten thousand men. The faith of our people in the stability and permanence of their institutions was like their faith in the eternal course of nature. Peace, liberty, and personal security were blessings as common and universal as sunshine and showers and fruitful seasons; and all sprang from a single source, the old American principle that all owe due submission and obedience to the lawfully expressed will of the majority. This is not one of the doctrines of our political system—it is the system itself. It is our political firmament, in which all other truths are set, as stars in Heaven. It is the encasing air, the breath of the Nation’s life. Against this principle the whole weight of the rebellion was thrown. Its overthrow would have brought such ruin as might follow in the physical universe, if the power of gravitation were destroyed and

The Nation was summoned to arms by every high motive which can inspire men. Two centuries of freedom had made its people unfit for despotism. They must save their Government or miserably perish.

As a flash of lightning in a midnight tempest reveals the abysmal horrors of the sea, so did the flash of the first gun disclose the awful abyss into which rebellion was ready to plunge us. In a moment the fire was lighted in twenty million hearts. In a moment we were the most warlike Nation on the earth. In a moment we were not merely a people with an army—we were a people in arms. The Nation was in column—not all at the front, but all in the array.

I love to believe that no heroic sacrifice is ever lost; that the characters of men are molded and inspired by what their fathers have done; that treasured up in American souls are all the unconscious influences of the great deeds of the Anglo-Saxon race, from Agincourt to Bunker Hill. It was such an influence that led a young Greek, two thousand years ago, when musing on the battle of Marathon, to exclaim, “the trophies of Miltiades will not let me sleep!” Could these men be silent in 1861; these, whose ancestors had felt the inspiration of battle on every field where civilization had fought in the last thousand years? Read their answer in this green turf. Each for himself gathered up the cherished purposes of life—its aims and ambitions, its dearest affections—and flung all, with life itself, into the scale of battle.

And now consider this silent assembly of the dead. What does it represent? Nay, rather, what does it not represent? It is an epitome of the war. Here are sheaves reaped in the harvest of death, from every battlefield of Virginia. If each grave had a voice to tell us what its silent tenant last saw and heard on earth, we might stand, with uncovered heads, and hear the whole story of the war. We should hear that one perished when the first great drops of the crimson shower began to fall, when the darkness of that first disaster at Manassas fell like an eclipse on the Nation; that another died of disease while wearily waiting for winter to end; that this one fell on the field, in sight of the spires of Richmond, little dreaming that the flag must be carried through three more years of blood before it should be planted in that citadel of treason; and that one fell when the tide of war had swept us back till the roar of rebel guns shook the dome of yonder Capitol, and re-echoed in the chambers of the Executive Mansion. We should hear mingled voices from the Rappahannock, the Rapidan, the Chickahominy, and the James; solemn voices from the Wilderness, and triumphant shouts from the Shenandoah, from Petersburg, and the Five Forks, mingled with the wild acclaim of victory and the sweet chorus of returning peace. The voices of these dead will forever fill the land like holy benedictions.

What other spot so fitting for their last resting place as this under the shadow of the Capitol saved by their valor? Here, where the grim edge of battle joined; here, where all the hope and fear and agony of their country centered; here let them rest, asleep on the Nation’s heart, entombed in the Nation’s love!

Get Us Out of the United Nations Support H.R. 7806 by Russ Payne

 

 Will Rogers has a humorous observation on how lots of us think:   “The problem with the American people is not what they don’t know, it’s what we think we know that ain’t so.” Representative Mike Lee of Alabama has introduced H.R. 7806 , The American Sovereignty Restoration Act to completely Get US Out of The United Nations. The goals of the UN were altruistic, however the implementation of said goals have been less than desirable.
 First of all consider the UN globalist strategy has followed an agenda to bring “peace through force” which has resulted in wars fought by American soldiers and financed with U.S tax dollars. The narrative of the world government movement has been a “monkey on the back” of our independence and freedom since WWII because it attacks the U.S. Constitution. Just as saws and hammers are tools to build with, the UN is a tool to build world government.
 
  Unfortunately, Eleanor Roosevelt, when she chaired the UN committee that drafted the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights in 1948, allowed the language in Article 29 that negates all the previous rights granted with the words: “Rights should not be exercised contrary to the principles and purposes of the United Nation.” This completely turns away from the Americanist principles espoused in the Declaration of Independence that human rights come from God our Creator that were written into law in the First Ten Amendments, essentially telling the federal government what it could not do. 
 Over the past 70 plus years Marxism has gradually eroded American sovereignty over ruling constitutional domestic law in many critical areas. The UN is showing its true purpose to so many today. Personal health decisions being taken away has exposed the WHO’s violation of inherent rights during these pandemic years as this global malignancy has rapidly metastasized in the area of health with a compassionate desire to control healthcare all over the world. Blessed with the protection from public scrutiny by the media, this week they are meeting in Geneva at the World Health Assembly to draft a Global Pandemic Treaty with two in-depth amendments that could easily be mistaken for international law proposed by an enemy to control the American people by a foreign enemy power. 
 
 The Biden Administrations actions this week reveal his position to take personal healthcare away from individuals, ceding these inherent liberties to International Health Regulations (IHR). This would give WHO’s bureaucrats power to replace doctors caring for and advising American citizens. Who of us will trust their liberty to such global power that in the past during the Obama Administration sent thousands of U.S. troops to the Ivory Coast of Africa to help the UN to enforce medical martial law when Ebola was spreading? Do we want annual “lockdowns” to be part of the American way of life? Don’t put your faith in the Senate stopping the new treaty with 2/3 majority. Adding these controls onto IHR will be automatic new powers that will continue the dangerous trend of overriding our Constitution on the way to 100% control of our lives. 
  Global government is rapidly strangling human liberty with force through their concern for our physical health through the World Health Organization. Do not the above facts shed new appreciation for Presidents Trump’s withdrawal from the WHO? It is critical that Americans who have been provoked by invasive control of personal healthcare, realize that the only permanent way to defund the Global Pandemic Treaty and its new IHR is to Get US Out Of the UN. It hasn’t just become a monster to destroy our liberty during the pandemic. It has safely moved its globalist agenda to overrule constitutional law in many areas for decades because the majority of our political leaders have represented their constituents as if they have sworn allegiance to the UN Charter instead of the U.S. Constitution. They must be terminated at the ballot box If this counterrevolution against globalism is to succeed.
 
 Concerned citizens would do well to inform themselves about all the tentacles of UN controls that have become “assumed powers” that illegally supersede constitutional domestic law at jbs.org. For since its origin in 1958 The John Birch Society has aimed its educational war against this UN “fifth column” that is strangling American liberty at the American electorate to send constitutionalists to office.  Apparently they are slow learners, for it is so obvious that the superiority of the historical foundation of Americanism over the UN peace by force, is like another way of saying that freedom is superior to slavery. Help build a fire of truth under the feet of your Senator’s and Congressmen to be a cosponsor with a true friend of American Independence and liberty, Rep. Mike Lee of Alabama whose bill H.R. 7806 will completely withdraw the U.S. from the United Nations. Be a friend to liberty. Don’t be one of those Americans who think they know the UN is for peace. It ain’t so!

Progressive utopians are criminals! They are genocidal psychopaths who have killed more
human beings in the last 100 years than any other ideologues in history. They don’t limit their
murder just to individuals, but to entire nations, as in National Socialist Germany’s war of
extermination against the Jews, the Soviet Union’s war against anti-communists, Cambodia’s
slaughter of the educated middle class, and communist China’s cultural war. And all of this was
done in the name of creating a new utopian society. In the United States the socialist utopians
adopted a new and unique method of destroying a nation: by dumbing it down, by destroying
the brain power of millions of its citizens.

The plan to dumb down America was launched in 1898 by socialist fanatic John Dewey in an
essay entitled The Primary Education Fetich. In it he showed his fellow progressives how to
transform America into a collectivist utopia by taking over the public schools and destroying the
literacy of millions of Americans. The plan has been so successfully implemented that it is now
a fact that half the adult population of America are functionally illiterate. They can’t read their
nation’s Constitution or its Declaration of Independence. They can’t read their high school
diplomas.

The method of achieving this was by simply changing the way children are taught to read in
their schools. The utopians got rid of the traditional intensive phonics method of instruction
and imposed a look-say, whole-word method that forces children to read English as if it were
Chinese. The method is widely in use in today’s public schools, which is why the American
public education system now consists of failing schools that cannot teach children the basics.
This can only be considered a blatant and sadistic form of child abuse.

And this abuse escapes detection because of the cleverness and deception of the perpetrators.
In his essay, Dewey warned his colleagues about being too hasty. “Change must come
gradually,” he wrote. “To force it unduly would compromise its final success by favoring a
violent reaction.” In other words, deception would have to be used in order for their plan to be
successfully implemented. They learned quickly how to deceive trusting parents and taxpayers.

They also learned how to manipulate politicians. They also knew that the children would be
powerless to resist their abuse. And teachers have been taught to blame academic failure on
the children and not themselves. Indeed, many of them revel in the idea that they are
transforming America to suit their own social interests.
Of course, most teachers are unaware that they are complicit in this evil conspiracy. They
simply do what they were taught to do by their professors of education. Few become aware
that their professors deceived them and prepared them to create failure. Most of these
teachers are as much victims of the system as the students they are teaching.

The purpose of this book is to expose the kind of crimes that are being committed every day
against American children and the nation in the name of education. Most parents trust the
public schools because they are supposed to represent the cherished values of our democratic
republic. But the unhappy truth is that today’s public schools have rejected the values of the
Founding Fathers and adopted values from 19th century European social utopians that
completely contradict our own concepts of individual freedom.
What are the crimes being perpetrated by the educators against America and its children? The
first most serious crime is Treason. In April 1983, The National Commission on Excellence in
Education said in its final report, A Nation at Risk:

If an unfriendly foreign power had attempted to impose on America the mediocre
educational performance that exists today, we might well have viewed it as an act of
war. As it stands, we have allowed this to happen to ourselves.

In other words, our educators are engaged in a deliberate dumbing down of America, of
sabotaging the intellectual growth of our children, and depriving Americans of the most
productive use of their own lives. This is a criminal act of war against the American people and
should be called what it is:

 Treason.

The deliberate dumbing down of an entire nation is genocidal in its impact on that nation’s
culture and intellectual future. No group of educators should have been permitted to impose
on American schools a program that is the antithesis of true education. But when deception is
practiced on the scale that is beyond public understanding, it becomes a crime as specific as
perjury under oath.

A second serious crime is child abuse by deliberately inflicting physical harm on a child’s brain
by using teaching methods designed to produce dyslexia and learning disabilities. Brain scans
now prove beyond a doubt that the sight, or whole-word, method of teaching reading creates
dyslexia and functional illiteracy by forcing children to use their right brains to perform the
functions of their left brains. Deliberately impairing a child’s brain ought to be a punishable
offense.

A third serious crime is contributing to the delinquency of a minor by teaching pornographic sex
education and “alternative” lifestyles that lead to pre-marital sex, venereal disease, and
unwanted pregnancies. More children are now born out of wedlock than ever before, creating
one of America’s most serious social problems. More American children are living in poverty
because of their parents adopting an irresponsible lifestyle based on liberal morality.

A fourth serious crime is destroying a child’s belief in biblical religion, a moral crime that leads
children into secular humanism, atheism, nihilism, and Satanism which can result in self destructive, murderous behavior. School shootings, massacres, arson, teen suicide, student depression, self-destructive behavior are the result of a school curriculum that denies the
existence of God and His loving protection.

A fifth serious crime is that of pushing drugs on millions of children by promoting the use of
powerful mind altering drugs such as Ritalin or Adderall, which are as potent as cocaine, to
alleviate such school-induced disorders as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention
Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). Some of these drugs have even caused sudden deaths
among athletic teens.

A sixth serious crime is extortion, by defrauding taxpayers of billions of dollars in the name of
school improvement and reform which never take place. The money is used by the educators to
buy more miseducation. The present reform movement is promoting the implementation of
Common Core Standards, which will not improve education but cost the taxpayers billions of
dollars. You cannot have high standards without high literacy, and high literacy has no place in
the new curriculum.

How do you deal with such criminality? First you have to be aware that it is taking place. Then
you must make your political leaders aware of what is going on in the schools. Most political
leaders wear blinders when dealing with education. For example, when it comes to
reauthorizing the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, our Washington legislators
tinker with its many titles in the hope that somehow education can be improved. But what
they fail to understand is that what goes on in the schools is based on an agenda that

Progressive utopians put in place decades ago and have no intention of deviating from it. Only a
massive outcry by an awakened public will force our state and national legislators to recognize
the crimes taking place in the name of education and put a stop to them.
There is no doubt that what goes on today in the public schools of America are criminal
activities of such a serious nature that millions of American children suffer their consequences
for their entire lives. We all recognize obvious child abuse when we see it. But the kind of
abuse that goes on in our schools escapes detection because of the cleverness and deception of
the perpetrators. Indeed, it is easier to believe a credible lie than an incredible truth.

Our educational leaders have learned how to deceive parents and the taxpaying public and get
away with it. They know that the children are powerless to resist their abuse. And they know
how to blame academic failure on the children and not themselves. Indeed, they revel in the
idea that they are transforming America to suit their own social interests. Only an enlightened
public will be able to put a stop to this degradation of American education.
