Tea Partry Meeting

Camp Constitution was invited to speak at the Mechanicsville Tea Party, Mechanicsville, Virginia last week.    The topic:  How to start a family camp program.  Camp director Hal Shurtleff accompanied by his son Nathaniel, and daughter, Emily (both veteran campers) were welcomed by an enthusiastic group.  Mr. Shurtleff  conducted a power point presentation (see link) discussing  Camp Constitution’s history, goals,  successful family camp program in New Hampshire, and how to start a camp.  The presentation was well received and we are optimistic  that Camp Constitution will have a sister camp program in Virginia or at the very least, a bus load of new campers at next year’s family camp in New hampshire. The Bible Is Not a State Sponsored Religion

A cultural war is being waged in America against the Bible using a misinterpretation of the concept of “Separation of Church and State.”  The misinterpretation lies in the fact that the Bible is not a church or a religion.  The Bible is a historical record of God reaching out to us to give us “peace on earth and good will to men,” and other benefits.  The Old Testament records the history of God reaching out through Abraham, and promising to bless the world through his lineage.  Continue reading →

Are Illegal Aliens Missing The Values of American Citizenship?

The purpose of the process of American citizenship is to acclimate people to the American value system that underlies the behaviors that have led to the social stability that allows us to pursue the life, liberty and happiness that has generated our prosperity.  When people are willing to violate our American laws by coming here illegally, they show a disregard for the value system that underlies them.  People act on their values.
