I am oppressed with a sense of the impropriety of uttering words on this occasion. If silence is ever golden, it must be here beside the graves of fifteen thousand men, whose lives were more significant than speech, and whose death was a poem, the music of which can never be sung. With words we make promises, plight faith, praise virtue. Promises may not be kept; plighted faith may be broken; and vaunted virtue be only the cunning mask of vice. We do not know one promise these men made, one pledge they gave, one word they spoke; but we do know they summed up and perfected, by one supreme act, the highest virtues of men and citizens. For love of country they accepted death, and thus resolved all doubts, and made immortal their patriotism and their virtue. For the noblest man that lives, there still remains a conflict. He must still withstand the assaults of time and fortune, must still be assailed with temptations, before which lofty natures have fallen; but with these the conflict ended, the victory was won, when death stamped on them the great seal of heroic character, and closed a record which years can never blot.

I know of nothing more appropriate on this occasion than to inquire what brought these men here; what high motive led them to condense life into an hour, and to crown that hour by joyfully welcoming death? Let us consider.
Eight years ago this was the most unwarlike nation of the earth. For nearly fifty years no spot in any of these states had been the scene of battle. Thirty millions of people had an army of less than ten thousand men. The faith of our people in the stability and permanence of their institutions was like their faith in the eternal course of nature. Peace, liberty, and personal security were blessings as common and universal as sunshine and showers and fruitful seasons; and all sprang from a single source, the old American principle that all owe due submission and obedience to the lawfully expressed will of the majority. This is not one of the doctrines of our political system—it is the system itself. It is our political firmament, in which all other truths are set, as stars in Heaven. It is the encasing air, the breath of the Nation’s life. Against this principle the whole weight of the rebellion was thrown. Its overthrow would have brought such ruin as might follow in the physical universe, if the power of gravitation were destroyed and
“Nature’s concord broke,
Among the constellations war were sprung,
Two planets, rushing from aspect malign
Of fiercest opposition, in mid-sky
Should combat, and their jarring spheres confound.” (From Milton’s Paradise Lost)
The Nation was summoned to arms by every high motive which can inspire men. Two centuries of freedom had made its people unfit for despotism. They must save their Government or miserably perish.
As a flash of lightning in a midnight tempest reveals the abysmal horrors of the sea, so did the flash of the first gun disclose the awful abyss into which rebellion was ready to plunge us. In a moment the fire was lighted in twenty million hearts. In a moment we were the most warlike Nation on the earth. In a moment we were not merely a people with an army—we were a people in arms. The Nation was in column—not all at the front, but all in the array.
I love to believe that no heroic sacrifice is ever lost; that the characters of men are molded and inspired by what their fathers have done; that treasured up in American souls are all the unconscious influences of the great deeds of the Anglo-Saxon race, from Agincourt to Bunker Hill. It was such an influence that led a young Greek, two thousand years ago, when musing on the battle of Marathon, to exclaim, “the trophies of Miltiades will not let me sleep!” Could these men be silent in 1861; these, whose ancestors had felt the inspiration of battle on every field where civilization had fought in the last thousand years? Read their answer in this green turf. Each for himself gathered up the cherished purposes of life—its aims and ambitions, its dearest affections—and flung all, with life itself, into the scale of battle.
And now consider this silent assembly of the dead. What does it represent? Nay, rather, what does it not represent? It is an epitome of the war. Here are sheaves reaped in the harvest of death, from every battlefield of Virginia. If each grave had a voice to tell us what its silent tenant last saw and heard on earth, we might stand, with uncovered heads, and hear the whole story of the war. We should hear that one perished when the first great drops of the crimson shower began to fall, when the darkness of that first disaster at Manassas fell like an eclipse on the Nation; that another died of disease while wearily waiting for winter to end; that this one fell on the field, in sight of the spires of Richmond, little dreaming that the flag must be carried through three more years of blood before it should be planted in that citadel of treason; and that one fell when the tide of war had swept us back till the roar of rebel guns shook the dome of yonder Capitol, and re-echoed in the chambers of the Executive Mansion. We should hear mingled voices from the Rappahannock, the Rapidan, the Chickahominy, and the James; solemn voices from the Wilderness, and triumphant shouts from the Shenandoah, from Petersburg, and the Five Forks, mingled with the wild acclaim of victory and the sweet chorus of returning peace. The voices of these dead will forever fill the land like holy benedictions.
What other spot so fitting for their last resting place as this under the shadow of the Capitol saved by their valor? Here, where the grim edge of battle joined; here, where all the hope and fear and agony of their country centered; here let them rest, asleep on the Nation’s heart, entombed in the Nation’s love!

If you visit the Lasker Foundation’s website https://laskerfoundation.org/ and click “About Us.” this is what you will find:
To improve health by accelerating support for medical research through recognition of research excellence, advocacy, and education.
What We Do
We celebrate the contributions of scientists, clinicians, and public servants who have made major advances in the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of human disease. Our programs educate the public and promote scientific collaboration, and we advocate for a healthier world through medical research.
The Legacy of Albert and Mary Lasker
Mary Woodard Lasker (1901–1994) was a champion of medical research. She and her husband, pioneer advertising executive Albert Davis Lasker (1880–1952), established a legacy of advocacy and philanthropy in support of science and health.
Mary Lasker was one of the country’s best known and most effective activists in the cause of increased public funding for medical research. For decades, she tirelessly persuaded the American public that the national investment in medical research would yield invaluable benefits for human health. Her simple warning was, “If you think research is expensive, try disease!” Mrs. Lasker’s early efforts focused on developing public support to advance research on cancer. She founded the Citizens Committee for the Conquest of Cancer and took her cause to Congress and the American public as a leading proponent of the National Cancer Act, which was signed by President Nixon in 1971. Her ardent advocacy for greater government funding of all the medical sciences contributed to increased appropriations for the National Institutes of Health as well as the creation of several NIH institutes.
Mary Lasker’s work transformed the medical research enterprise, which earned her the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal. As a permanent monument to her efforts, in 1984 Congress named the Mary Woodard Lasker Center for Health Research and Education at the National Institutes of Health.”

But what you won’t find on the website is the fact that Albert Lasker was the main financial backer of the infamous and racist “Negro Project.” He donated at least $20,000 (worth approximately $1/2 million today.) The Negro Project was the brainchild of Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood. The goal of the Negro Project was to promote birth control among Blacks. The project set up birth control clinics in the South. Here is transcribed letter from Sanger to Dr. Clarence Gamble in 1939 mentioning Lasker’s role in the project:
Casa de Adobe Catilina Foothills Tucson, Arizona
November 26, 1939
Dr. Clarence Gamble
255 Adams St.
Milton, Mass
Dear Dr. Gamble:
It is good to know that you are better again and now we must all see that your ulcers must never again be worried. Miss Rose sent me a copy of the letter that Dr. Morris wrote to Mr. Lasker. I know a copy was sent to you. I am rather distressed the way the project is about to be handled, yet I believe there is nothing much I can do about it. None of my suggestions seem to get to first base these days and so the best thing to do is not to send them on, but I feel very sad over the lack of vision with which this Negro project is to be handled. Both Mrs. Rinehart and I put in a lot of thought on this and there is no doubt that if the first thousand dollars is wisely expended, we can depend upon a generous contribution for the future. I object strenuously to putting all of our eggs in one basket; in other words, to take either North or South Carolina as the nucleus. What I wish to see is the employment of an up and doing modern minister, colored, and an up and doing colored medical man, both to come to New York and train at the Clinic and at the Federation. Until they are oozing with birth control as well as population…. They should then be sent out to cover the South and as many cities and organizations and churches and medical societies as they can get before to preach and preach and preach! That should be the job for them both for at least six months. On a second round as a checkup, they would soon find what impression was made and after one year of education agitation among the colored people, we could then support a practical campaign for supplying the mothers with contraceptives.
Naturally, one would ask why North and South Carolina does not already give such information and supplies to their colored people, and while I have great respect for Dr. Cooper, Norton, Sibilis – I do not believe that this project should be directed or run by white medical men. The Federation should direct it with the guidance and assistance of the colored group – perhaps, particularly, and specifically formed for the purpose. I hope these few words will not cause you to worry but doubtless you have become philosophical and feel that those on the job at 501 had best run the show.
Ever my best regards.
Margaret

(Albert Lasker, Negro Project Funder)
Sanger’s racist roots have been well established from her own writing to her association with Nazis and Klansmen although she appeared to prefer the company of communists
In her December 10, 1939, letter to Gamble, Sanger wrote:
“We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”
Sanger’s contemporary apologists explain that her critics misinterpret her meaning. But her earlier words belie that contention. For example, in her book The Pivot of Civilization, she advocated for the “elimination of human weeds,” and for the sterilization of “genetically inferior races.” The fact that she enlisted the likes of white supremacist Lothrop Stoddard and Dr. Ernest Rudin, the man in charge of Nazi Germany’s forced sterilization program doesn’t help the case of her apologists.
The “Mrs. Rinehart” mentioned in the letter was none other than Mary Lasker. Mary was married to art dealer Paul Reinhardt prior to her divorce and marriage to Lasker. Mary was a close friend of Sanger who in 1938 became the president of Sanger’s Birth Control Federation of America renamed Planned Parenthood Federation.
(Mary Lasker giving Lyndon Johnson the 1966 Lasker Award. Johnson, along with M.L. King, received the 1st Annual Margaret Sanger Award that same year.)
I discovered this information while researching the correspondence between Sanger and Dr. Clarence Gamble housed at the Harvard Medical School Library. I published the letters in the book The Racist Roots of Planned Parenthood and its Legacy of Death which can be ordered here: The Racist Roots of Planned Parenthood and Its Legacy of Death | campconstitution.net or a free PDF here: https://campconstitution.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Racist-roots-of-planned-parenthood-proof.pdf

Prior to the book’s publication, I reached out to the Lasker Foundation to see if they had a statement on the racist and white supremacist roots of its founders. They never replied. I have reached out a few times since with the same results. Ironically, Gamble’s organization Pathfinder, at least acknowledges its founder’s racist roots not that it forced its leadership to end its founder’s vision: controlling the births of non-whites. Even Planned Parenthood has felt the heat. Due to exposure of Sanger’s racism, it has discontinued its Margret Sanger Award in 2015 and even renamed one of its abortion mills
Will the Lasker Foundation acknowledge the racist roots of its founders? That is all up to the readers, especially those in the media. I recommend that readers of this article contact the Lasker Foundation and perhaps sent them a link to this article and ask when they will come clean and denounce its racist roots. Rev. Steve Craft, chaplain for Camp Constitution, goes off on all white school committee in Sutton, MA-a small town in Central Massachusetts. Like practically, all government schools across the United Stares, Sutton’s schools are promoting homosexuality, drag queen store hour, and the Marxist DEI and CRT. These comments were made on Thursday May 9, 2024
A transcript of Rev. Craft’s comments:
Everybody, look at me you see I’m not white. I’ve been black for 80 years and, won’t turn white no time soon. I keep hearing all this talk about racism and transphobia and homophobe and all these phobias, and I saw that PowerPoint up there, but I didn’t see anything about Bible clubs up there. I am a preacher, a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and many of these parents in here don’t have opinions but they have principles because they love God and like I heard that brother over there say, and they want to know why straight white children are having this pumped down their throats about sodomy, about transgenderism. About a boy that can come to school one day and be a boy and the next day he’s a girl. That’s a lie from hell we have to come to reality there’s no truth in that nonsense. It’s damnable, and as a minister of the Gospel. I encourage every parent in here to stand against this lie that’s been spewed out in the pits of hell because that’s where it comes.
God created male and female. There’s no such thing as this trans nonsense. That’s mental illness at worst and demon possession at best. You want to talk about all this race nonsense. This is do with diversity, equity and inclusion and critical race theory. I don’t see a black kid in this school, and I don’t even live here. I’m a grandfather. (Right on brother.) If you were teaching my grandkids about they could be a boy on Monday a girl on Tuesday and a combination of both on Wednesday, we have an issue. Y’all that is real nonsense. You can look at every person in this place. Whatever side of they are on-all I see is male and female. Where are the other 90 genders? This is pure nonsense (amen). What we have to understand that if we’re going to have compassion, if we’re going to come down for compassion and understanding for all then we have to look to those who don’t agree with this mess not because of an opinion but because of Biblical principles that say sodomy is wicked.
(Applause from the audience.)

While doing research for The Racist Roots of Planned Parenthood and Its Legacy of Death, https://www.amazon.com/Racist-Roots-Planned-Parenthood-Legacy I discovered this movie from 1934 “Tomorrow’s Children” which was an expose of forced sterilization laws in the United States.

This is from the movie’s description:
Please note the date of this movie. It is BEFORE the eugenics movement of Germany under Adolph Hitler, 1936 onward. That is because the eugenics movement started in America, and remains blight upon our history, and upon our present as well. Eugenics had its strongest hold in California, where forced sterilization was practiced with disturbing frequency. It was the eugenics practices of the US that inspired and encouraged Hitler to do the same. The shock and horror of Auschwitz and the Holocaust and of the hospital sanctioned murder of the “mentally defective”, forced eugenics mostly underground. Planned Parenthood is the only open manifestation of eugenics in the US today. But as one can see from the “Georgia Guidestones” and the statements of certain British royalty, dedicated elitist adherents of eugenics are still quite alive and secretly active today. If this movie seems a little tentative in its treatment of the subject of eugenics, remember when it was made. Unlike us, the writers and actors here did not have in hindsight the movie reels of emaciated bodies being bulldozed into trenches, or of the hastily abandoned crematoria surrounded fields full of ashes. The makers of this movie had foresight to warn us the best way they could, and the courage to go ahead with it. I’m sure many of them would live to witness the above-described horrors that lay in their future, and wished with regret that more would have listened.
First, the so-called elites promoted Eugenics which led to forced sterilization laws. Then it was abortion, first decriminalized in California, and New York, and then decriminalized by the now overturned Roe v Wade decision. Note how angry the elite, especially in the Democrat Party, got when the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs v Jackson decision was leaked back in May of 2022. The Left went ballistic unleashing a barrage of violence against churches and Pro-Life Crisis Pregnancy Centers around the country. New Hampshire wasn’t spared. Pathways Pregnancy Care Center, a Christian ministry in Littleton, was vandalized. No arrests were made for this vicious hate crime, and no public condemnation of this act was made by Governor Sununu or any of our Congressional delegation. A call to Pathways confirmed that Sununu and the Democrat Congressional delegation didn’t reach out to the center condemning the vandalism, bigotry, and hate. Indeed, they all poured gasoline on the fire by denouncing the Supreme Court decision knowing full well that it had absolutely no impact on abortion in New Hampshire. The once “Live Free or Die State” has, over the years, become the “Come Here and Die State.”
The Death Cultists are also pushing so-called gender reassignment surgery via chemical and surgical castration of children. And woe to any who dare speak out against this. If you don’t wholeheartedly support this Death Cult madness, you may not be able to adopt children. Another item on their evil agenda is “assisted suicide” legislation which was recently passed by the New Hampshire House.
Forced Sterilization and its Racist Roots
Forced sterilization was popular among our racist elite from the 1880s up to the early 1970s. It fell out of favor by the elites not because they thought it was wrong but because their Nazi colleagues in Germany efficiently adopted it from them. Thirty states passed laws that allowed it. New Hampshire was no exception. One of the leaders of the Eugenics movement was Harry Hamilton Laughlin who would be a big hit at today’s anti-Israel protests because he believed most Jews were feeble minded. One of our nation’s top Eugenics and forced sterilization advocates was Madison Grant. Grant’s 1916 book The Passing of a Great Race was translated into German and read by Hitler in the early 1920s. Hitler made references to Grant’s book in Mein Kamph, quoted Grant in his speeches, and even sent Grant a fan letter praising his book. It comes as no surprise that Grant was an evolutionist. He was secretary of the New York Zoological Society and helped put a man from the Congo, Ota Benga, on display with monkeys in the Bronx Zoo.
I am sure very few readers know about this sordid history due to the fact that modern day Death Cultists control our government schools, and most of the media and publishing houses. Very few readers have heard of Planned Parenthood’s Negro Project and that Martin Luther King was in on the hustle promoting its racist agenda. He was one of the first recipients of its Margaret Sanger Award.

Madison Grant Ota Benga
The New England states that had forced sterilization laws besides New Hampshire were Maine, Vermont, and Connecticut. California led the way with over 20,000 forced sterilizations, New Hampshire had about 700-with 90% of them being women. Here is a portion of the 1929 New Hampshire law on forced sterilization:

“Whenever the superintendent of any state or county institution shall be of the opinion that it is for the best interest of the inmate and society that any inmate of the institution under his care should be sexually sterilized, such superintendent is hereby authorized to cause to be performed by some capable surgeon the operation of sterilization…”
Most of these forced sterilizations took place at the State School for Feeble Minded Children in Laconia. States slowly repealed these laws some were still on the books until the early 1970s.

“Assisted Suicide”
Jack Kevorkian 1928-2011
Suicide is self-murder. If two or more people are involved it can no longer be suicide. Jack Kevorkian, one of the Death Cult’s high demons went to jail for 2nd degree murder for participating in an “assisted suicide.” Currently, nine states- and Washington D.C, all of them, with the exception of Montana, are Democrat Party strongholds, have passed “Death With Dignity” laws. These Death Cultists love to use euphemisms to mask their acts: “Reproductive Health Care and Gender Reassignment Surgery are two others employed by them. The Death Cultists are active in New Hampshire and are close to passing more Death Cult legislation. The New Hampshire House narrowly passed the bill HB1283 which should have been ceremoniously named HB1984. Here are the members of the Death Cult who sponsored the bill:
While members of this cult have a cozy home in the Democrat Party, the Republicans also have them in their ranks. The bill will be voted on in the Senate on May 16. If passed, it will go to the governor who said that he is “open to considering the bill” which means in Orwellian Double Speak, that he will sign it. Readers are urged to call their senators as soon .as possible and tell them to say no to the Death Cult agenda and its HB1283.
“Are we a culture of life, or are we a culture of death,” said Rep. Terry Roy (R-Deerfield). We will soon find out.
Camp Constitution was honored and pleased to host a speaking tour in New England for our friend and best-selling author Vince Ellison. On Thursday afternoon May 2, Rev. Craft and I picked Vince up at Boston’s Logan Airport and after fighting heavy traffic, brought him to his first engagement at the East Warren (R.I.) Rod and Gun Club to speak an outdoor venue to a large and enthusiastic group. This event was hosted by our friends at Citizens Organized to Restore Rights (CORR) and Super Happy Fun America https://superhappyfunamerica.org/ Please visit CORR’s website to find a link to Vince’s speech https://www.corrusa.com/

The attendees didn’t want Vince to leave. He spent close to two hours after his speech signing copies of his book Crime Inc and speaking to his new friends.
Vince’s first engagement on Friday May 3 was a luncheon at the Lane House in Lexington, MA. The luncheon concluded with an impromptu signing of “My Country Tis of Thee” led my Mrs. Edith Craft, Camp Constitution’s Junior Camp Program Director outside of the Lane House:

A link Vince’s speech at the Lane House:
Since this was Vince’s first time visiting the area, we gave him a tour of the Lexington Battle Green where we had the opportunity to meet a homeschool family from Texas and a Lexington Minuteman. We made a short video of Vince reading the names of the men who were killed on Lexington Green:
Vince’s second speaking engagement on Friday took place at One Cranberry Hill in Lexington which was hosted by Mr. Rick Stoppe and Liberty Church https://www.libertychurchma.com/
Vince’s NH speaking engagements were at 11:00 AM in Loudon, hosted by our friend Kathleen LoFaro who treated us to a hearty lunch afterwards, and in my hometown of Alton at 7:00 PM. After lunch, we brought Vince to Concord where we visited the State Capitol Building and the Franklin Pierce Homestead. During the Loudon speech, Vince mentioned that Al Sharpton was hired by the Tobacco Lobby. We asked him to do a short video going on the subject:
Prior to bringing Vince to Logan Airport on Sunday, we took a short trip to Boston to show Vince some historic sites including the grave site of the victims of the Boston Massacre, and the “Embrace” statue where Vince where we made a short video of Vince giving his opinion of the statue:
We want to thank all those who made this tour a success with a special thanks to Rev. Steve and Edith Craft, Dr. David Steinhof of CORR, Sue Ianni and John Hugo of SHFA, Rick Stoppe of Liberty Church, the lady janitor who unlocked the meeting room door, Mrs. Kathleen Lofaro, and Mr. George Dewhurst of the Community Church of Alton.
Please share these videos and visit Vince’s website https://vinceeellison.com/
Before she was a member of the so-called Squad in the U.S. House of Representatives, Ayanna Pressly was a member of the Boston City Council. I met her back in 2009 when she was collecting signatures in front of Roche Brothers Supermarket in the West Roxbury section of Boston, MA to get herself on the ballot. She struck me as a pleasant and personable lady. I gladly signed her nomination papers while explaining that I am a Constitutionalist and don’t agree with her on most issues. I don’t know if she was always the race-baiting Marxist that she is today, but I think I got my answer back in September of 2010 when she spoke at the Chinese Progressive Association’s Chinese Communist flag-raising event celebrating the communist takeover of China.

I first got wind of these Communist Chinese flag raising ceremonies on Boston’s City Hall Plaza back in 2007 while I was leaving Suffolk Superior Court House after being released from jury duty. In 2008 and years after that, I organized protests against these flag raising events, and along the way, made friends with the Falon Gong practitioners who were also on hand to protest these outrageous flag raisings ceremonies. In 2010, Mr. Jesse Schiff made this video and recently edited it, E-mailed a copy to me and gave us permission to upload it on our YouTube channel.
The video doesn’t show Pressley speaking but at the end of the video is a picture of my letter to the editor of a local newspaper mentioning Pressley’s presence at the event. This short video shows me with my son Nathaniel and daughter Kristina and friends Dan McGonigle and Carla Mora along with others holding signs protesting the event. One sign read “Mayor Maonino.”

Elected officials at both the state and local level have been speakers at was once an annual event. The Boston City Council even passed a resolution to honor the communist takeover of China. Thanks to our successful lawsuit, Shurtleff v Boston http://www.lc.org/flag, the city suspended all flag-raising ceremonies in October of 2021 when the U.S. Supreme Court decided to hear our case, and after the 9-0 ruling in our favor announced in May of 2022, the city ended its flag raising program.
So, when Pressley routinely denounces the United States, remember that she happily supports the most vile and murderous regime in the history of mankind that has brough misery not just to the people of its own country but to those around the world.

The enormous failure of our government school system was nicely summed up by a Boston high school teacher in a recent issue of Education Week (12/9/98). He said: “I have about 30 kids in my U.S. history class. They come from nine different countries; most of them can’t read. Even if they can read the text, they don’t know what it means. How am I supposed to teach U.S. history to kids who can’t read? I could come in here every day for 20 years and still not figure out how to do it.” Obviously, this particular teacher had no idea how these kids got into high school without knowing how to read. He had no idea what goes on in primary school that prevents these children from learning to read, and he had no idea what to do with older students who are functionally illiterate. Clearly, the teacher himself is part of the problem. His ignorance of how the system functions prevents him from helping his students get through it in one piece. In other words, the compartmentalization of teachers explains why so many of them have no idea of how the total system works and why the system can lurch from crisis to crisis without any effective change taking place.
The real blame for the system’s dysfunction, however, must lie with the professors of education, the state departments of education, and the administrators who have all conspired to create the functional illiteracy that plagues the public schools of America — once considered the most literate and advanced nation on earth. Deliberately induced illiteracy among students is a vital part of the plan to dumb down Americans so that they will be unable to resist the imposition of social and political control by an arrogant universitarian elite determined to create a new world order based on humanist-socialist values. This “education” plan is part of the utopian socialist agenda set down by the progressives at the turn of the century. The progressives were members of the Protestant academic elite who no longer believed in the religion of their fathers. They put their new faith in science, evolution, and psychology. Science explained the material world (matter in motion), evolution explained the origin of life (organisms crawling out of the primordial ooze), and psychology explained human nature and provided the elite with the scientific means of controlling human behavior. These men were also socialists. Why? Because they had to deal with the problem of evil.
The Bible tells us that evil is the result of man’s innate depravity, his innate sinful nature. But since the progressives did not believe in the Bible, they decided that evil was caused by ignorance, poverty, and social injustice. And what was the cause of social injustice? Why, it was this horrible capitalist system with all of its inequities. Socialism, it was believed, would remove these inequities and thereby solve the problem of evil. By the way, the progressives did not get their model of socialism from Karl Marx. They got it from an American by the name of Edward Bellamy whose book, Looking Backward, published in 1888, projected the fantasy of a socialist America in the year 2000. And so, the progressives, dedicated to their utopian ideal, decided to do all in their power to change America from an individualistic, capitalist, and religious society into a socialist, collectivist, humanist or atheist society. How were they to accomplish that? Through the education system.
They would change the curriculum and teaching methods in the public schools so that American children would emerge as young socialists willing to change our way of life into a socialist one. The socialists realized that the transformation might take as much as a hundred years to complete. In fact, John Dewey wrote in 1898: “Change must come gradually. To force it unduly would compromise its final success by favoring a violent reaction.” Dewey then outlined the long-range strategy which the progressives were to adopt: What is needed in the first place is that there should be a full and frank statement of conviction with regard to the matter from physiologists and psychologists and from those school administrators who are conscious of the evils of the present regime. Educators should also frankly face the fact that the New Education, as it exists today, is a compromise and a transition: it employs new methods, but its controlling ideals are virtually of the Old Education. Wherever movements looking to a solution of the problem are intelligently undertaken, they should receive encouragement, moral and financial, from the intellectual leaders of the community.
There are already in existence a considerable number of educational “experiment stations,” which represent the outposts of educational progress. If these schools can be adequately supported for a number of years they will perform a great vicarious service. After such schools have worked out carefully and definitely the subject-matter of the new curriculum, –finding the right place for language-studies and placing them in their right :5. perspective, –the problem of the more general educational reform will be immensely simplified. One hundred years later we can see how successful the Dewey plan has been in transforming our educational system into one that serves the needs of the atheist socialist state. Dewey was aided and abetted by a cadre of reformers that included such luminaries as Edward L. Thorndike, James McKeen Cattell, Elwood P. Cubberly, George D. Strayer, Charles Judd, James R. Angell and a host of others. Thorndike, Cattell, and Strayer ran educational mafia out of Teachers College (Columbia), Cubberly reigned at Stanford, and Angell became president at Yale. Change in the curriculum of public education has happened so gradually that most parents haven’t the faintest idea what is happening to their children, four million of whom are being drugged daily with Ritalin so that they can sit in their classroom seats and be socialized without resistance.
What is truly amazing is the coherence and continuity of the progressive agenda which is as much alive today at it was when Dewey and company were pontificating. For example, The Whole Language Catalog, a sort of bible of the whole-language movement published in 1991, has 15 entries for John Dewey in its index. After citing his debt to Dewey, Kenneth Goodman, the leading guru of whole-language philosophy, writes: Whole language picks up where the progressives left off. … [It] takes the philosophy and positive, child-centered view of the progressive educators and adds the knowledge of language, of learning, of child development, and of teaching, and builds a strong scientific base under them. It is this combination of science and humanistic educational and social philosophy that forms the foundation for whole language curriculum. … We use the psychological concepts of Piaget and Vygotsky to underscore Dewey’s concept of learning as transaction: pupils making sense of their world and being changed themselves in the transactions. (p. 281) In the early days, the progressives were mainly supported by the major philanthropic foundations.
Today the reforms are being underwritten by federal and state governments. Three recent federal programs are funding the massive restructuring of American education in accordance with the progressives’ plans: Goals 2000 (enacted 3/31/94), School-to-Work Opportunities Act (enacted 5/4/94), and the Improving America’s Schools Act, a reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (enacted 10/20/94). Thus, the Congress of the United States has become an accomplice in the progressive plan to restructure American education in the socialist mold. Apart from needing the funds to carry out their plan, the progressives also realized that coherence and continuity of their agenda over a hundred years was vitally necessary if the plan was to be successful. Thus, in 1901 they created the National Society for the Study of Education, wherein the progressive leaders would be able to formulate their programs of reform, debate their effectiveness, and pass on the baton to their loyal disciples. By studying their yearbooks, the first of which was published in 1902, one can follow the inexorable progress of the socialist takeover of American education. All of this was accomplished by tenured professors of education and behavioral psychologists, working within a maze of well-funded professional organizations, publishing journals, writing textbooks, holding hundreds of conferences, seminars, and conventions each year.
None of this has been visible to the average parent who puts a child in a public school. Parents assume that their schools are run by local school boards, superintendents, principals, and teachers. What they don’t see is the invisible hand behind this constant pressure for reform that keeps recreating the curriculum. The average teacher may feel that there is some kind of invisible hand at work, but teachers would rather blame failure on cultural trends, excessive television viewing, dysfunctional parents, and such student disabilities as attention deficit disorder and dyslexia. Obviously, this is a system of education that cannot be supported by any Christian. Local control no longer exists. It was inevitable that a government education system would become a federal system controlled by those who have been leading us toward totalitarian socialism. Do I exaggerate? To be convinced that the end goal is a totalitarian system, all one has to do is read the Student Data Handbook for Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education (NCES 94-303). This is the official guidebook for the computerized data-gathering system dreamed up by our totalitarian bureaucrats. The data will include massive information on health, family, religion, attitudes, psychological assessments, etc. For example, the attitudinal test is described as: “An assessment to measure the mental and emotional set or patterns of likes and dislikes or opinions held by a student or a group of students.
This is often used in relation to considerations such as controversial issues or personal adjustments.” All of this sensitive, personal data will be housed in a central computer in Washington making it easy for “educators” to control just about everyone. But the question is simply this: does the government of a free people have the right to collect this kind of information on all of its citizens for its own political or social purposes? Should the government of a free people record the attitudes and opinions of its citizens so that it can engineer their personal adjustment? The time has come for Christians to realize what has become of the “land of the free and the home of the brave.” If Christians want to restore the full measure of our freedoms, they will have to do what they are reluctant to do: remove their children en masse from the public schools. What is needed now is not accommodation to the plans of the American Pharoah but a full-fledged exodus of Christian children. That’s the easiest and most peaceful way to put an end to the socialist agenda and return America to its basic constitutional principles. Will Christians have the courage to do what must be done? That test will be upon us sooner than anyone anticipated.

We recently caught up with our friend Lily Tang Williams to discuss her viral video of her asking David Hogg-America’s own Greta Thunberg who heroically hid in a closet while his classmates were getting shot. Hogg was at a debate on gun control at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and during a question an answer session, Lily asked if Hogg could guarantee that the U.S. would never be tyrannical. He answered truthfully, and Lily exclaimed “The gun control debate is over.” The short video went viral.

Born to illiterate working-class parents in China’s western Sichuan province just before Mao’s Cultural Revolution, Lily Tang Williams grew up experiencing extremely poor living conditions, food rationing, social chaos, and Communist indoctrination.
In spite of these hardships, she learned to work hard, persevere, and was grateful for the opportunities she was given. After universities were re-opened, she graduated from the Fudan University law school in Shanghai, where she was one of the first to be selected to re-populate the law school faculty, as well as being encouraged to practice corporate law in Shanghai to help China begin rebuilding its economy.
In 1988, Lily Tang Williams decided to attend university in the U.S., leaving her faculty position with only $100 in her pocket and $1200 in debt to her American sponsor, a Fulbright professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Although she could not speak English fluently, she was determined to achieve success in this country, earning a Master’s degree in Administration and Planning from the School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin.
Subsequently, Lily started work for Wyoming Home Health as a medical social worker, and within a few years she was working as an executive for corporations in both Hong Kong and the U.S. Eventually, she went into business for herself, providing consulting and expert witness services in China-related business and legal cases. She and her husband also manage residential real estate properties they own.
During this time of hard work, and raising her family, Lily began her journey of discovery of liberty and representative democracy. She began traveling the country as a professional speaker sharing her story about the horrors of Socialism and Communism, inspiring people to value their American heritage and their freedoms and opportunities.
Her passionate presentations and interviews have been featured on Fox News, Tucker Carlson Tonight, Fox Business, Newsmax, Timcast, Huckabee TV, John Stossel, Joe Pags Show, Gothix TV, Shawn Ryan Show, Epoch Times TV, Glenn Beck Radio, and many other podcasts. Also, she has authored opinion articles for The Epoch Times, Town Hall, National Review, Union Leader, Concord Monitor and Granite Grok. Her story was included in the Oral History of Communism Project funded by the State of Florida for K-12 Education. Recently featured in the documentary film, “The Great Awakening,” she has been speaking to students and parents and she never fails to inspire people to get involved with the Liberty movement.
Lily Tang Williams is a Congressional Candidate for the 2024 elections in NH District 2 and has numerous endorsements from prominent citizens and organizations. She is Chair of the NH Asian American Coalition (which she helped to found), a member of the Advisory Board of USPIE, (U.S. Parents involved in Education), and on the Speakers Bureau of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation in Washington DC.
